This works well to attach to the side of my green cheek conure’s cage. Just make sure you pay attention to the size measurements to get the size you want. It is very easy to attach by hooking it onto the side of the cage and extremely easy to keep clean by either handwashing with hot water or throwing it in the dishwasher. I like the fact that it’s stainless steel because I can be confident that it is cleaned thoroughly and doesn’t absorb any smells like some of the plastic dishes I’ve used in the past. I use this for fresh chop and it’s very easy to keep clean and sanitized. If you have a bird that likes to flip dishes this does make it easier for them to do that by pulling it out of the holder but most smaller birds don’t do that - that’s my only caveat.

They are sturdy but the rabbits knock the bowl out of the holder every day. I have to come up with a solution for this or stop using them. The amount of food being wasted isn’t good.

It worked well with my smaller birds. With my parrots, not so much. They kept dumping their water out of the bowl.

This bowl did exactly what was asked of it, with a little tweaking. It was used to hang up on the inside of a metal crate to hold food for our convalescent cat.It is sturdy and well made. It has a minor design flaw that makes it tip upward toward the surface you hang it on. This is due to the shape bottom of the hooking end, pushing it too far away from the wall of the crate so it angled upwards. I fixed it by bending the curcular rim that holds the bowl slightly downward. It is a testament to the sturdiness of the frame that I had to apply quite a bit of pressure. It was an easy fix though and even a smaller framed person could make the adjustment with just a little elbow grease. It is still a great bowl and I would buy it again for the sturdiness and price.

I bought this to use as an elevated chicken feeder. I have a cross beak chicken that needed an elevated food dish to scoop its food. Its a little small but its works and attached easily to the hardware cloth at an angle. I make a mash from cooked oatmeal and chicken crumbles soaked in water and feed her from this dish daily.

These are some great portable bowls because they are very small. Portion size is great for a toy dog. Not sturdy enough to leave in cage though. They get knocked over easily
