While the description for this hat indicates that it's 'Russian', the crown is constructed like a Norse hat which made it perfect for my costume. The hat fit well for my 23" head circumference and kept me nicely warm in near 30 degree weather at night. As someone who sews, I can tell you that $20 is an excellent price for the construction quality, materials, and time saved (instead of making my own).

I bought the gray hat; the gray is pretty and the hat is very flattering. I fluffed the fur with a hair dryer (as recommended) after washing, and it made the fur very natural looking. Hat washed nicely; I let it air dry.

I don't ever wear hats, but needed something for traveling to a cold country. I love everything about this hat. The wine color is lovely, the fake fur looks amazingly real, and the styling is great. I have a small head, though, and I think without modification the hat will blow off. I've ordered hat size reduction strips to, hopefully, tighten it up.This the first hat I've ever been anxious to wear.
