I got this hat for my elderly mom who wears glasses. The brim holds up nice and helps to keep the rain and snow off the glasses when she is out in the weather. I like the easy ties too for her to manage well.The pull at the back of the neck helps to get a snug fit.I was actually surprised at how much cheek is covered when wearing this too.All in all, it's an easy to wear hat that provides protection from cold and wet.It is not down filled as I originally thought due to the name of the item, but cotton filled.

light weight........keeps wind and moisture out of my ears. On very cold days I wear a cozy scarf under it. Straps could be longer but it was a great value for the price I paid.
