When storing water in the large 55 gallon blue barrel this makes it easy to fill. Worked so well I bought two.

Exactly is described, my only quibble is that the 1 in threaded fitting appears to be glued into place and can't be disassembled from the funnel bottom. I can make it work but it would have been nice to be able to screw the female funnel threads onto a male fitting.

I am one of the most frugal people on the planet. So, when I saw the sale price on this funnel, I couldn't resist. Best of all it fits and it seems to be exactly what I needed to pour water into the blue barrel for my garden. I wish the company made other products, I would gladly buy them as well. The plastic is heavy duty and works for these blue barrels. From other reviews, I believe they work on metal 55 gallon drums also.

Very solid plastic, great size. For those planning on attaching a hose, a 1" ID hose will not attach to this. The external diameter of the funnel screw end is a little less than 1&1/2". It screws into a plastic milk jug with just a touch of coaching, so to speak, to give you an idea.

I use this for pouring bulk kitty litter into the plastic jugs the litter also comes in. The opening is tight and hard to keep in place, but that’s not the fault of the funnel.I am able to make it work for my needs and it prevents the huge mess I used to create before finding this. The threaded spout would likely be perfect for lids of 5 or 55 gallon buckets, which I haven’t tried. This funnel might be sturdy enough to sit on, it’s the strongest funnel I’ve ever seen.

I bought the drum funnel because I wanted a threaded large throat funnel. The funnel was ok. It is a cheap molding with several surface imperfections. The injection molding tool used to make the funnel is in pretty bad shape. There is a 3mm ridge inside the funnel for 360 degrees. I don't know why.The funnel orifice is about 1" despite the 2" NPT fitting. The funnel is an assembly of a simple PE funnel and a 2" to 1" NPT reducing coupling. A black plastic fitting is jammed into the bottom of a straight funnel to "give" it threads. It is just jammed in. It does not seal. Oil will leak in the tread root of the fitting that is jammed into the funnel bottom and drip outside the funnel.I wanted the 2" opening as shown in the drawing. I had to heat the funnel and thermoform the orifice to a 2" ID and schedule 40 2" pipe OD. I tossed the cheap plastic fitting out. I bought a new ABS 2" NPT to 2' socket adapter. ($2.00) and bonded the fitting to the modified funnel.I now have a quart PE funnel with a real 2" npt fitting for ~$14.00, but I had to rebuild it.---added note---I bought a second funnel and modified it also.---I consider this funnel kind of crappy as is. But I expected it to disappoint me. It served as adequate raw material for me to make a real 3 quart funnel with a 2" exit orifice with a 2" NPT fitting.OK, so it is 3 quart. It is a 2-piece assembly. The bottom orifice is 1" diameterThe joint between the 2 pieces leaks by design.
