The pressure sensitive trigger is what makes this gun worth every penny. If you have a large gap, depress completely and you will fill the gap quickly and thoroughly. If you have a small gap, only depress a little for a small, steady stream that is easy to control so you don't overfill, and everything in between.I saw this gun used at a Katz Road Show demonstration (which are fantastic if you want to learn the best new techniques in building and what the latest/greatest materials, technology, and tools are) and was sold. I bought this and thought I was going to use this a lot sooner than I actually did. So I MAY have forgotten something I did not know:I was under the impression that you could screw on a new container of foam, use a little bit, unscrew it, clean the gun, and everything would be ready to go the next time. NOT SO: This product (Gun AND the foam) was meant to use an entire canister of foam or multiple canisters in one shot. When I unscrewed the partially used canister, a bunch of foam sprayed out all over the black threaded canister holder and the top of the canister. I thought I had perhaps done something wrong when detaching the canister. I cleaned everything up and then called Henkel.They informed me that it was not meant to be used in small quantities and that this product was really meant for high volume usage such as new construction with multiple doors and windows or a larger renovation with multiple window and/or door installations. IE: This was meant for higher volume professional contracting work, not really for the happy homeowner/weekend warrior work where you need a spot of insulation here and a spot more there.So this gun is perfect for what it is made for. And if you do plan on purchasing and using this applicator gun, DO NOT USE THIS WITHOUT THE FOAM APPLICATOR CLEANER. The cleaner is ESSENTIAL if you want to use the gun over and over again. If you let even a little bit of this foam cure inside the gun, it can render the gun useless. Once the foam cures, it is almost impossible to dissolve and clean with solvents. That is why you must use the cleaner and thoroughly wash out the innards of the applicator gun while the foam is still in it's liquid/non-hardened state.Great product, great system!

I purchased this applicator because I knew there had to be a better way of applying insulation to windows and doors than those cans you can purchase with HD or Lowes. I love the product, worked great. I'm not installing windows or doors on a daily basis so I was sure to thoroughly clean the applicator after use. I know how difficult spray foam is to clean when dry if not impossible.
