- #6 in Filbert Art Paintbrushes
Handcrafted using the finest interlocked Chungking bristles. The natural curve of the bristle provides excellent spring and is extremely resilient, retaining its shape far longer than other brushes. The brushes are stiff, the bristles flagged (I. E. Split at the ends) allowing large amounts of colors to be carried and applied evenly to the surface. The uniquely crafted handle offers great balance and control.

Ok number 1 poorly packaged, 3 brushes in an envelope, it's more than obvious the bristles are gonna get messed up in transit, clear indication of little care for such expensive items, that's on the people in charge of shipping. Now let's move on to the brush quality... On the very first try, bristles frayed out of control, I couldn't even tell it was a filbert brush. Definitely gonna try to return them. Trust me I'm holding back on this review. No good... W&N this product should be revised

This is a hog bristle brush from Winsor & Newton. I am an artist and I love these stiff sturdy brushes. This is a round bristle brush that I will use for painting smaller areas. It is not a fine detail brush, which is typically a softer smaller pointed brush. But the quality of this brush is excellent. Do rinse these brushes out with odorless turpentine, and then I wash them with bar soap and water after painting. I have been using Winsor & Newton products for years because of the consistent quality of their artists' products. I recommend these brushes.

I have never been a fan of Windsor Newton. I probably purchased the cheap stuff they make. I splurged and bought this brush. It has nice bristles and came in a plastic tube for protection. It handles like a dream. Nice thin handle. I like it very much.

I honestly love winsor and newton. For their paints as well as their brushes. They really obviously care alot about quality. These brushes are nice and LONG (longer than my other set of "long handle " brushes. ) and they are also ergonomic in shape & have a very nice, balanced weight to them that both make them feel like they are very good quality & luxury, but also that makes painting more comfortable for you. The bristles are natural hair, and they are stiff, yet bouncy and hold paint beautifully. I use the brushes for heavy bod0bristles are also perfectly shaped and when I clean ed & broke them in for the 1st time, only one hair came loose. Great quality

My wife is a working artist and this is her go-to brush for most of the detailed painting she does. It's beautifully made and super-refined. It's so small and fine but extremely high quality, does a great job.My only complaint is that these were unavailable for a while on Amazon so we had to scour the internet for any supplies. But they're back now and we're very happy with this little beauty.

I’ve used other bristle brushes for oil painting, and perceive that select similar bristles I own may push and handle the paint better or load better, but I like the feel of the handle when painting.

The bristles are hard and falling out. Really surprised me with the brand name. Also sent the wrong type. But not to worry, I won’t use anyway.
