This seemed like such a great idea for dispensing pills for an elderly person we are responsible for. But the machine was so inconsistent in delivering the pills. Sometimes no pills at all would drop and sometimes only part of the pills. I might try another one in case I just got a defective unit but it takes a lot of time to set up when you have multiple pills morning and evening for a whole month.

I turned it off since I was leaving for the weekend and didn't want to take the whole device. Ever since then it's been acting up, that was about 2 weeks ago now. The alarm is supposed to go off at 5:30, it doesn't go off until after 10. And initially when I turned it back on it said something about to much use and meds will not be dispensed until the next scheduled time. It won't connect back with my phone either. But prior to this, it worked great.Figured i would come back. After reconnecting it. It still doesn't work. Keeps saying the button will be disabled until the next alarm. But yet no one has touched it and i haven't been able to get my meds from it and several days hoping it would get back on track. Granted I have whats in my 90 day supply bottles but the purpose of this thing was to make life a little easier. It truly seems like a waste of the money at this point. I'll probably just start opening the top and taking my meds out that way.

I wish I would have read more of the reviews. I really want this to work for my sister who is on pain meds for bone cancer. But it is inconsistent. She was in the hospital and when we came back it didn't work properly. I'm constantly rebooting it and have to have a regular pill box full of all of her pills as a back up. I'm gong to try for one more week then it's going back if I can't make it work consistently. Wish me luck.

This automatic pill dispenser from Windtrace is very customizable. I like the locking aspect of this dispenser - while it has a mechanical lock, it also has a fingerprint sensor to ensure restricted access to the medications inside. There are seven rings for the unit. Each ring has two sides to match up with an individual's dosage schedule. It is easily charged and then placed in a convenient location. The Bluetooth setup can get a little complicated, but once it is set up, it takes a lot of "mental pressure" off. No more, "Did I take my meds this morning?", "Did I give them their meds last night?", etc. If you set this up for someone else, it can help by reminding them about their medications, even if you aren't there. The app keeps track of missed doses, too.

I have a degree in Computer Information and hardware. I tried many times to set this up. First it busted two gel caps and ruined the other pills in the dispenser. I had to take it apart and clean then it kept hanging other capsules. It would skip over slots. Sometimes it would not dump the pills. Most of the time the bluetooth would disconnect. After trying for over a month we decided to return the thing and go back to a manual 4 times a day dispenser. I really wanted this to work and I have never had so much trouble with a smart device. I have setup and built many computers, thermostats, smart lights, bluetooth radios. I can not recommend this.

This is a very nice machine and very well made. It has a nice timer and alarm system for the meds and a nice delivery system that's easy to use. It does have a slightly complicated and tedious setup with an app and if your phone is too far and it doesn't detect the bluetooth it won't work, so if you're away during the time it's supposed to do its thing it won't and then it's off for next time. But that's a minor issue and not something that occurs too often. Overall it's a very nice high-quality device.
