This kit is so bad it doesn't even come with printed instructions. Watched video and instructions were lacking. As soon as the top of the kit touched my window the chip spread two inches in both directions. Total piece of junk. I soldiered on but wish I hadn't.. $60 waste of money. I read th other poor reviews and thought I am maybe mor capable but I now know the fault is in he kit not the person doing the repair..try a $12 kit (used in the past with food result) should have trusted my instincts!

Tried to fix very small chip in window. Everything seemed to work as video showed (their Amazon instructional video) the first try but chip did not clear...so attempted a second try...and found the instructions at that point woefully lacking....was one supposed to keep the first tube of sealant for the second attempt or did it require using a new tube of sealant....no instructions to that end? Tried both with no luck (using original tube and then trying a second tube). Tried a third time but by then either the third 'tube' of sealant was empty or something else failed to work. No luck again...did not appear that any sealant was being drawn into the chip at all. Then, while watching video further, realized that there were no 'plastic tabs' in the kit...yet mentioned as a necessity in the video. Impossible to determine how much, if any, sealant remains in the tubes if the first attempt fails...video has no instructions as to how to do over. Will have to call Safelight. Complete fail.

Great easy to use kit.I have seen people do this for years in the auto business I have worked in.I got another rock chip on my vehicle and figured I would try it myself.happy I did.the chip is almost invisible after my first try.now I have a couple others to try.very pleased and ordered more resin from rock pro

I don't like the quality of the product

So I needed to get a special tool so I could help out my Roomate and fix a pretty nasty crack in his windshield, and having worked in the auto glass industry as a windshield repair tech for several years, I definitely had to experience and knowledge of knowing exactly what I needed to buy in order for the repair kit to actually do its job. After receiving the kit and getting everything ready to go to start the repair I noticed that there was a hair line crack on a very important part of the repair devices plunger, which is what forces the resin into the crack to fill it all in and I knew that I was gonna have an issue. So of course I had some problems with the device not working like exactly like it should so instead of calling Amazon first, I decided that I would reach out to customer service number of the repair kit manufacturer straight from the manufacturers website. On my first try, calling into the company, I didn’t have to leave a message, I didn’t have to go thru any annoying automated system, after the 3rd ring, a gentleman answered the phone, said his name was Brian, so I went on explaining my situation from start to finish. Now at this point, I was expecting some trouble shooting questions, or something that I would need to send back for the company to look at, but none of that. Brian was so awesome with me and all he wanted to do was make sure that I got whatever I needed so the kit working efficiently and effectively, just the way it was designed to work. So I was really happy that it was a problem so easily handled and I started giving Brian my address so he could ship me out a new kit and as soon as I said Las Vegas, he totally stopped me and said well that’s where I’m out of, Las Vegas too. I couldn’t believe what happened next. Brian had said, look Frankie I’m not even going to waste the time to ship anything to you, I’m just gonna come drive a kit over to your house and I was stunned. I gave him my home address and Brian pulled up in front of my house 1.5 hours later. Talk about real customer service, well Brian not only has that, but he also has the utmost professionalism and is nothing but Class. Brian is the owner of the company, but that’s not all, he is also the one that came up with the design of the entire kit, which I had told him that his repair kit is one of the best repair kits I’ve seen in a long time, and that’s because most repair kits that include everything you need to perform a repair from start to finish are only kits that professional auto glass company’s can purchase so the fact that Brian made a kit for the average Joe to use and has everything you need in that kit and made it cost effective, is an amazing thing. Between his kindness, and the fact that he came to my house an hour and a half after hanging up the phone with him, he gained me as a customer for life. I will go nowhere else to buy any windshield repair items I may need in the future, plus I will send everyone to him whenever it comes to any windshield repair discussions. Thank you again Brian and people will know that you’ve gone well above and beyond.

Saved My Rav4’s Windshield and My Wallet!I got a nasty little rock chip on my Rav4’s windshield during a road trip, and I was dreading the idea of either living with it or paying for an expensive repair. Enter this kit. I decided to give it a try after reading all the positive reviews, and WOW—it completely exceeded my expectations!The instructions were easy to follow, especially with the video tutorial (highly recommend watching it). The whole process was straightforward, and in about 15–20 minutes, that chip was basically invisible. I even had a neighbor ask me where I had my windshield repaired because it looked so clean!What I really appreciated is how everything you need is included in the kit, down to a sturdy little carrying case. It feels like the people who designed this thought of everything. And the fact that I can keep it in my Rav4 for emergencies? Huge bonus.This was my first time doing a windshield repair myself, and I couldn’t be happier. The chip is gone, my Rav4 looks great, and my wallet isn’t crying. This kit is above and beyond anything else I’ve ever used!I travel on the interstate at least 3-4 times a month long distances and live in a major city with lots of construction. Needless to say I am constantly getting chips.The quality of this kit and all the parts included set it apart from anything else I’ve ever used. I’m using it to fix 2 chips now and will be ordering the refills for any others I get! The convenience of having a carry case for everything is awesome! And the instructions are perfect! I’m a big DIY kind of person but I also know my limits. The in depth instructions helped me feel more comfortable. Great results!Couldn’t have asked for a better product!
