If you keep it dry it’ll work like a charm. Floats through the air like the seed from a cotton wood. Obviously, any scent on your hands when pulling a pinch out of the can, will be on your sample but if you use good scent control practices it can be mitigated. Recommend

I have never used a wind indicator on the past but after seeing others on hunting shows, thought I would give it a try. It seem like it is just cotton and I have learned you need a small amount for it to work correctly. If you use a to large of an amount, you can get a wind direction but not your thermals. So make sure you are using the smallest you can and you should see this drift for 10 yarda or so from tree stand.

I mean, it is what it looks like. It's a ball of loosely packed cotton strands (or something very similar if it isn't cotton) in a nice tin case. Open it up, pinch a piece off, and away she floats. Simple product, just nothing special about it. Nothing negative to say, so it keeps all 5 stars, but there are less pricey options for doing the same thing.

These little tins are super handy. They let you pull out a tiny piece of fluff and watch it drift in the wind. This lets you see not only the main wind direction but also how the wind swirls around your environment. This information can help you hunt according to the nose of the game you are hunting.

Go2trymo wind checkers is like having a box of dandelion seeds. I took this out to the yard and was amazed a how light these were. I had wind crossing the front of the house and then when these floated pass the house I could see that there was wind coming from that direction too.I really like these because they are oderless and you can watch them as they cross the field.

Useful package of four so I am able to stash in multiple packs, pockets, of bino harnesses. Do the job as intended and a good value.

These are a perfect wind detector with a durable tin to keep them in. Will probably be enough to last years.

The wind checkers worked fine. It became very handy and useful when your phone doesn't have data/service out in the woods. When it's difficult to determine the wind direction, this wind checkers would let you know without hesitation. The checkers is so light so regardless of the wind speed, it will give you accurate information.
