Those expand when dipped and holding scent a long time. Worked well.

These are amazing! A 5 pack takes up less space then one older white cotton style one.I simply took one and dipped it in the estrus bottle. I pulled it out and it went from being 1/16” thick to about 7/16” thick. It just soaks it up and drips where you hand it. It seemed to have plenty of smell left on it the second day I came back. I had two deer come into it within 3 hours I could only see the doe the second deer was in my blinds blind spot. They were within 25yards and eventually smelled me and ran. I wish I would of seen the 2nd deer.To sum it up these are easily the best scent wicks I’ve ever used far and away!

Take a look a the photo. The advertisement shows yellow wicks. The packaging shows yellow wicks. Their website shows yellow wicks. The package contains BLUE wicks. What color can deer spot the best? It's BLUE! They see stuff on the blue spectrum much better than the red/orange/yellow one. Why on earth would anyone use colors from the blue spectrum for hunting items? Perhaps they thought... Hey! The sky is blue and this will be in a tree so they won't notice AND our company name is CODE BLUE soo.....Let's make these blue! I don't know what's happened to them this year. Yea, I'm kind of leery of using these only to spook the deer. I've also tried to find their highly recommended Buck Scent in the white spray bottle and they aren't even showing it on their web site. They could at least have shown that it's discontinued or they are out of stock. I wouldn't have expected this from a great American company.

These wicks are a gimmick and a waste of money. When I use scent wicks, I will go back and dunk the wicks into the bottle of scent to refresh the wick each hunt. With these, they expand so much after the first use that they won't fit back into the bottle. So they are effectively single use wicks for me. These are just sponges cut into the shape of the wick and are easy to tear (and the ones I received are blue, not tan like in the product picture). I'm going back to using the old-school white wicks (not sure what they're made of, maybe cotton?) that have lasted for 5+ years of use. I'd suggest you do the same.

Works like a sponge should holds scent for several days unless it rains.
