Bought these when I broke a peg off of my Gretsch Rancher IMMEDIATELY after I bought it. Although Sweetwater would have warrantied this, I decided to upgrade. Tuners fit perfectly and I have had no tuning issues with these. The finish isn't quite as good as the originals, which is why I'm only giving them four stars.

These tuning machines work great. They are easy to install, and were a huge upgrade from the stock Yamaha tuners on the gently used FG830 I was recently gifted. The stock tuners were chrome, but to me, the cream binding on the neck and headstock begged to be paired with gold hardware instead, so I ordered these. They feel so much better and the high gear ratio makes fine-tuning a breeze. The screw holes did not line up perfectly with the original tuners as the tabs on these are about 1mm longer, but the screws still went in fine at a slight angle into the original holes--no problems. Because I put these on an acoustic, color-matching was not an issue. However, if you are putting these on an electric that has existing gold hardware, the color might not be an exact match. The gold is slightly more muted, closer to a polished brass, rather than yellow gold. It's almost a 1:1 match in color to the 80/20 bronze strings I put on it. I have the yamaha hanging next to an epiphone electric with gold hardware, so I can say the epiphone gold is much more yellow (the epiphone has grover tuners and upgraded dunlop straploks, both of which match the more yellow tone of the rest of the stock hardware on it.) I think it's safe to say these may not match other gold hardware exactly, so keep that in mind if that's important to you.Other than the color issue, these are fantastic tuners. And they function just as well as Grovers that are twice the price. Highly recommend as a cheap and simple upgrade for budget guitars to make a huge impact on your guitar's functionality.

My friend was about to buy tuners for a Yamaha acoustic, he said 'big box' store "GC" had what he needed for around $75. I told him DO NOT BUY, I wanted to help him out. I ordered these Wilkinson acoustic 3 x 3 tuners to replace his worn out Yamaha tuners. I received the Wilkinson tuners in a few days, actually... 10 days. But there wasn't any rush on our part.New tuners arrived, and fit perfectly. I suggest you should measure the hole size (of the head stock) where your tuners will go. Mine were 11mm... I think? Can't be certain, because it was a month ago, and I have been drinking a lot of beer for the past 4 hours. Replaced the tuners on my Gretsch Ranchero White Falcon with these. The old ones don't even compare to these. Beautiful gold finish, 19:1, precision tuning keys that stay in tune. Great price too!

The price is good. These are not great quality. I build guitars as a hobby. I can't afford high priced tuners ever time I build one. I have used several sets of these. One problem is the round plate on the back tends to fall out on some if them. I run super glue around the joint and it helps recent it. But they work.
