it works, but it didn't come with a shoulder strap or the back cover for the wii remote compartment, and the strum and star power buttons were sticky when I took the guitar out of the box

this is an excellent guitar for the Nintendo wii unlike some of the others ive had in the past this guitar is very well built all the buttons work flawlessly (including the whammy bar) and has a great design I normally sit down when I play a guitar hero game and thanks to the way its designed it sits very comfortably on my leg unlike others that bothered me so much that I would have to stand up to play after extended use considering that ive seen these being sold for close to a hundred dollars or even more in some cases (depending on the model) to get one brand new in the box or used depending on the seller since these are no longer made for the wii buying a used one usually is the logical choice but whether you want to buy a guitar hero guitar for the wii new or used I strongly recommend this model for anyone looking for a quality guitar controller at an affordable price

the guitar came damaged and I had to make it checked and the plate (I don't know the name) was damaged or manufacturing defect, we send an email and they told me to send the guitar back and maybe they would return the money, spend more money than I have spent buying it, no joke, incredible to believe, I had to throw it away, bad buy, and my daughter was very sad because it was her birthday present, i can't believe how could they do that

I don't know if this is a compliment of me, or not, but my wife says that the BandHero stuff is the best gift I've ever given her, and we've been married for 8 years. In any event, this guitar lets you do 1 of 2 things with the base band hero kit:1) You can play competition with 2 guitars2) You can play 2 guitars in a band --- one on bass guitar, the other one on regular. This would give you 4 players --- 1) microphone, 2) drums, 3) bass guitar 4) regular guitar.Standalone means no software. They sell this with software if you don't already have it.And this is compatible with Band Hero.

I bought this guitar for a gift for someone that had a pirated version of the Guitar Hero but no Guitar to play. Since the guitar was on their wish list and I knew how much fun the game was I decided to buy a Guitar. I went to Amazon and saw there were numerous guitars and most were more expensive but were the new styles. As this was a gift price was the motivating factor and I am not disappointed. The guitar is used by two pre teens a 10 and 12 year old and they have played daily for the last 6 months. Not one complaint and my fears that the guitar would not work on a pirated version of the game were unfounded. The guitar works fine and has taken a beating by the two kids who play it daily.

guitar hero 5 is no fun. my kids got bored immediately. the songs were unrecognizable and didn't sound good. band hero was better. if you just want to play the drums or the guitar, then you'll have new challenges. the number of songs doesn't matter. it's the quality that counts. waiting for american idiot though.

Definitely an upgrade from the World Tour guitar but not perfect. Have noticed some odd noises coming from the strum bar and whammy. I've been told that the noises will eventually go away.Other than the odd noises, this is a great guitar especially for the price. I just cant see shelling out over $100 for a guitar for a video game.I also like the fact that this guitar works for Rockband 2. Overall, I am very happy with this product.
