This was the only medical alert necklace I could find with the option to connect to an app. This was critical for us to be able to leave my mother in law at home without worrying about falls and not responding in a timely manner. Now we can have our life back, knowing she can reach us with the touch of a button and we can send help immediately (if we are not close by). What a relief having the peace of mind!

We take care of my elderly mother at my house and I wanted to get her one of these pagers that you see advertised online. While browsing Amazon one night for medical supplies I came across this caregiver alert button system that sends you messages if your not at home and decided to order it.Once it arrived the box seamed as it was opened before with no instructions on how to set it up or even how to use it. I tried to connect to it several times with no luck. I even went on the product listing page and watched the video, holding the button down on the back for 6 seconds, but no hope. I have to say this is a dead on arrival product. I am able to download the apps but cannot connect to the base unit.

At first I rated this 5 stars, but after using it for a few months it is not as great as I thought. My mom uses this when she comes over. It goes off when it gets wet. So every shower it goes off multiple times. I wouldn’t suggest this for anyone using the shower at home by themselves because it will give false alarms. I like that the alarm goes to my phone, no matter where I am so I can always check up on her if it goes off.

This device offers a WiFi connection that allows it to be set up and monitored by an app on a mobile device. It can be used stand-alone as a simple ringer for several emergency buttons. With the app and a local WiFi network, a mobile device can receive alerts and program some aspects of operation. The receiver gets it power from a USB connection and is therefore not really portable. It has a numeric display that shows which buttons have been pressed. The range from button to receiver is not impressive; it didn't make it across my 2500 sq. ft. house. The app allows changing the alert sound of the receiver for each button but the selection is very limited; there are only six tones, the titles don't match the sound and one of them is silent (titled "2dingdong").If an alert is received while the app is running, it makes a "ding-dong" sound. As first installed, if the app is not running nothing happens. I enabled notifications and background operation of the app. After doing this, an alert pops up a notification accompanied by an earsplitting screaming car alarm sound which does not appear to be changeable.

This set comes with 3 separate necklace buttons (Came with the button batteries) and a receiver (rechargeable) that has 6 numbers (so you can add 3 more) When one of the buttons is pushed, that number will light up on the receiver and a loud "doorbell" alarm will sound. It will stop on it's own. This is a great safety item to have! But you'll need the receiver in range to hear it. I live in a large house, so I thought the app would be a great addition to use. And if you leave the house, you can still get notice and go home or send someone to help. Smart! But it's fully usable when it arrives, without the app.You also can download the Smart Life app. More than one person can be notified, they'll need to be added to the account and download the app. So if your loved one pushes the button, both of you will be notified. It sounds like the app can control lights, AC, etc. I went to install it, but decided I didn't want to give a Hong Kong company access to my phone. Not saying it isn't safe. I'm not ready to do that for something I'm not sure I need to at this point. Also said there's no cost to use that app.At this point in life, we're very glad to have this. If the time comes where it's needed, I only hope they don't fall hitting their head and pass out, where they can't push the button. Meaning, I don't want to get a false sense of security, but this a smart system to have on hand. And no added monthly costs!

Very sad to say that this doesn’t work - I tried charging it, but it never came on. Very disappointed because we ordered this to use to make sure my finance’s mom is okay. She is elderly and she falls a lot, so it’s imperative that we have quick communication in case she has an accident. I’m very disappointed that this didn’t work, and I wish I knew how to fix it.
