Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Purchased the 1”; sharp and well made. Very aggressive, seems to pull the material; clean cut, good control, good consistency. Not for the faint of heart or low-powered router, but a fantastic bit for the right job

Whiteside bits excel in quality and longevity. I've chamfer routed hundreds of feet of maple hardwood and the bit still cuts as good as when new. They are the best.

This bit cut Douglas Fir like butter on first use. I have found that my other Whiteside bits have stood the test of time, cut like new with repeated use. Premium priced but worth it.

This thing will hog off wood without tear out or chipping. I got it to turn 2x2s into box corners. Worked great. Whiteside is a well respected router bit because they have a reputation of working really well. Started sharp and has stayed sharp.

It blew a perfectly straight and clean track through a slightly wet pine 4x4 without a sweat. I can't yet speak to longevity, but based on initial use, I'm optimistic.

I needed to 20 dado cuts, 2 inches deep. I ordered 3 of these thinking I would dull at least one. Not so; one bit did them all and is still sharp and ready to do more. I couldn't be happier.
