Had a dedicated transformer added to my furnace to ensure dedicated power to my Smart Thermostat operation. However, the transformer chosen by the contractor is not the best quality in my opinion and exhibits a louder than expected hum. Already tested this transformer on the bench and it is quiet compared to my existing unit. Also, this transformer feels well-built and solid in my hand. Plan to make the switch and report back on how it goes. Will see what happens when I place the zone controller board load on it. Thanks.
