It wasn’t even white when I got it. It was just the normal tan color that sand usually is, And had some black stuff in it. It was also wet and watery when I got it. I needed dry sand.

It comes to you wet. it's supposed to,,, it has microbes in it to support the fish environment for this tank health. the sand it easier to clean because the lightest stuff is already washed away at the factory and you scoop anything away with a net that the fish leaves behind.. I chose white. and It seems to be a good choice .. the betas are doing well with this.. and I am rather pleased..

Didn't look white in the package, but looks great in my ecoqube. Fogged up for the day, by the next day water was clear again. I only bought one pack. Will be slowly adding decorations while the plant grows enough to where I can add a small betta.

It's not a very big bag, however this is what I paid for! It took me two bags for me to fill my 2.5 gallon to a substantial height. I like submerging my plants and decorations so a sand height of 3-5 inches is my sweet spot. I suggest buying a bigger more expensive bag if you have much a bigger tank, and if you have a much smaller tank than a 2.5 please do your fish a favor and buy it a bigger tank first.

This sand is disgusting and not white. It's it a beige or light brown and makes the water cloudy for days. I'm a betta owner and a biorb aquarium user and this sand is garbage!

This sand is not true white as the picture shows. I am designing an aquarium and I purchased this sand specifically because of the color, so I was extremely disappointed. It is also a very small bag. The pictures make it look much bigger than it is. I have a tall vase that I am using for my aquarium and the bag barely covers the bottom. If you are looking to use this sand for anything more than a 6inch by 6inch tank I would suggest getting multiple bags. If you want a true white sand, this is not the sand for you. It is more of a tan color.Overall I would not recommend this sand based on the color discrepancy and the small amount it comes with compared to what it looks like in the picture.

This product was perfect in every way! When it arrived I was very happy to see it was the perfect amount of sand for my small 2.5 gallon Betta fish aquarium. I really liked the color when I placed it in the tank under an blue LED light. My male Betta immediately started playing in it. I plan to add plants to the aquarium soon. This is a must buy for small aquariums!

I have purchased a half a dozen of these bags of sand. What I like best is that they are actual sand, not "aquarium sand". They come in a nice bag with water that supposedly has bacteria in it (I doubt that part), but it is actual sand like you would find if you went and dug sand up at the side of a river. Be aware that it really should be washed out before you use it; there are bits of plant matter and other undesired items mixed into the sand. Only other comment I would make is as it is real sand (and not crushed gravel), fish waste does and will stick to it and collect. Waste will NOT be able to sink through the sand.
