I love this tea kettle. It looks lovely, wears really well and heats quickly. It is so well designed with a graceful look. Once water boils, I don’t need to use an oven mitt to lift it, the wooden handle is perfectly comfortable. I highly recommend it.

Tea kettle is very easy to fill, to clean, and to pour. There is no need to grab anything to keep open the spout. A little flap which covers the spout just flaps open when pouring - functional and, esthetically pleasing design. Tea kettle sits attractively on the stove top. It makes a nice whistling sound - an all round winner.

I have used this kettle a few times and never whistled. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I will continue and hopefully figure it out. But must say it is a gorgeous kettle.Update: Figured out how to make the kettle whistle - must turn the cover to close it well. Now I live this beauty.

It's well made. A little light weight, in my opinion, but that's a preference thing and accurate to the description anyway. The rounded shape can be less stable on certain burners, but unless you're being careless, you shouldn't have any issues. The pin on the hinge for the pour spout cover has the ends covered, which is a really nice touch, as it looks nicer and keeps the pin from working its way out. I've had that issue with other tea kettles, and it's not fun.The lid fits on tightly, so you have to hold it down by the handle to remove the lid, this is a little awkward to do when it's hot, but no issue when it has cooled. It also guarantees it won't be falling off accidentally, which is very good.It is technically 2.5 quarts, but to achieve that volume you have to fill it to the very brim, and it's not a viable option to heat it when that full. The "Max Fill" line is at about half that. I've ignored the max fill line though and filled the pot up to 1.75-2 quarts with no issue; it still boils without overflowing and the whistle still works at that volume. All in all, I'm fairly happy. It's a good budget kettle, and it includes some minor features (like covering the pin) that more expensive brands should take notes on.

This shapely cute and mirror shiny teapot is my new best friend. It whistles, moans, screeches, whimpers, and sings as it does the job well. Holds 6 cups water unto the recommended fill line. in 57o kitchen at 7500' elevation---with just enough gas to cover the pot's bottom--it reaches steam in 2 minutes and furious boil in 3minutes at the tight lid top. The spout lifts itself up and pours well. Teapot has a plastic something lid knob and handles so take care not to overheat it if you want your teapot to grow old with you (that is---do not allow flame beyond the base to go up around the sides and do not leave the pot to whistle for long--as neither are necessary for heating water in a timely manner). Lightweight and yet good quality stainless steel Pleased with this pot after MUCH research.

I have a vintage style home and wanted a polished stainless steel kettle to go with the stainless stovetop percolator I keep on my stove- replacing the unnecessarily large enamel kettle I currently have.I was hesitant to get this because of some of the reviews that the whistle was awful. I actually wanted a whistling kettle that WASN'T loud and shrill like my current one which sounds like a smoke alarm.I tested this kettle with water at the max line - it whistled. I used less than the max (about a mug and a half which is what I'll make for myself) - it whistled. Filled it past the max line (just covering the spout holes) - it whistled. The sound of the whistle is perfect for me and a refreshing change. I don't generally go far from the stove when I have the kettle on anyway so it's not a big deal. It isn't as if I'm putting the kettle on the stove then going off to watch TV. I could hear it from the bathroom - dining room - and my home office from just down the hall without any trouble. Maybe if I had a house full of noisy people I wouldn't be able to hear it... but usually for large gatherings I pull out the electric kettle for faster boil time.So.. I love the look.. it's the right size.. and the whistle is perfect for my needs. I'll occasionally polish it with Flitz metal polish like I do my vintage percolator and it will stay looking shiny and new.
