Item arrived as described and, in the timeframe, stated. Great value and was easy to install, especially given that there were no installation instructions included. Item is working as expected and it did not take long for the ice to begin being made.

I went for 5 years without an ice maker because I thought it was too expensive to replace. Found this on Amazon and took a chance. Hooked up easily and had it making ice within :30 minutes. Don’t hesitate, buy this if yours is broken. Can’t believe I waited so long.

Our ice started tasting weird, we went through things in fridge and freezer, but couldn't figure it out. Then I took the ice maker out and discovered the inside of the ice tray was disintegrating. Horrifying! The sticker on it showed it was made in 2015, so it lasted 9 years. Ordered this new one and it came in 4 days later. We just put a bag of ice in the bin each day and life went on. The new ice maker was packaged very well, but there was still a plastic piece broken off of a mounting bracket, see pictures. I was able to use the bracket off of the old one so no delays. Also it came with a wiring harness, but I used the one already in place from the old one. Our old ice maker had a "max ice" fan unit attached to the front, it just popped off and popped onto the new one(after it was installed to make it easier to handle). The new one is an identical unit OEM, I was a little leery of getting a knockoff brand. After sanitizing the new ice tray and wiping the whole new unit off, I installed myself (only three screws, one needs a phillps, and two others need 1/4 inch socket). Type in the model number of your fridge and there are loads of info and videos on the internet to show you how to replace the ice maker. It is working perfectly and no more weird taste. It was actually a lot easier to do than you would imagine, glad I did, saved $. Hope this helps someone out.

The ice maker in my RV's residential refrigerator had begun to make ice cubes with little black specks embedded in them and stuck to their surface (yuck!). After going through nearly a dozen ice making cycles the volume of these mysterious specks diminished but they did not disappear completely, so it was clearly time to refurbish or replace the ice maker.Upon removing the old ice maker I discovered that the surface of the ice mold in which the cubes are formed was badly corroded in spots. In all likelihood this was caused by some volume of water remaining in the ice mold for long periods of time when the refrigerator was shut off between uses, a situation unique to RVs as home refrigerators run continuously. My lesson having been learned, in the future I will remove and drain the ice maker in between uses. After determining that a new ice mold was not available as a separate replacement part I decided to buy a complete replacement assembly (minus the shutoff arm and the front cover, which are transferred from the old unit to the new one). As it turns out I'm glad that I needed to get a replacement assembly, as the new ice maker is better than the old one in at least a couple of ways:1) The little plastic bracket on the underside of the assembly that secures the bottom of the unit to the freezer wall has been improved so that when the unit is fastened to the freezer by the two main screws at the top of the ice mold and by the screw on the bracket, it is perfectly level and does not require the addition of an aftermarket spacer between the bracket and the freezer wall to make it sit evenly as did the previous ice maker.2) The mechanism into which the shutoff arm is inserted now clicks securely in the off (up) position, so that when the arm is raised to prevent additional ice from being ejected from the ice maker while the RV is in motion, the shutoff arm no longer moves back down into the on position on its own as a result of bouncing down the road in the RV and thus ice is no longer scattered all over the freezer.

Replaced in my Kitchenaid Fridge last night, easy to do.I did not shut water to fridge offI did have to use wiring harness off old ice maker as the supplied harness was to short. As others mentioned you reuse the cover, screws etc.My old ice maker had been leaking for a year, then finally quit, was happy to see good ice this morning.
