Just got it today, a little smaller then anticipated and some separation between the horn and wooden stopper in the back but nothing major but seems like good quality.

This was great! I gave it to my grandson with a book on Davey Crocket, along with a cork gun and coonskin cap. The horn was a great size and had real leather strap. I highly recommend it.

Just a wall decoration. Mine wasn't drilled all the way through so now i'm trying to find a way to do it myself. another thing is that the wooden stopper falls out on it's own. So i have to find a way to fix that too. I'm not going to waste time trying to return it because like most sellers they'll just find a way around sending me a new one.

But only for Looks. But I intended to carry my powder in it. Until I got it and inspected it when I noticed inside of it after I had removed the plug and seen large debris of horn curled up. Almost enough to stop up the passage of the BP. Which would have made a great day of going out using any of my front loaders. By all the hassle of getting loaded each time of trying too shake out enough powder for a good charge since the tip of my new BP Horn would have been so tight it would have taken me 6 or 8 min. to get enough BP to make a full charge. So this one you my have to take some time to finish the work that was left undone by the manufacturer. And if your using a fine BP you will also need to seal the top end with the horn because mine was just tacked together without a good seal. So if you are planning on stomping around the country side with your loaded horn be careful of your surroundings. And not walk to close to any camp fires if your packing a fully loaded horn.

OK, so it's really a poorly assembled piece of junk, as delivered, HOWEVER, with a little of work in reshaping, fitting a threaded brass stopper for filling, and a fiddle peg stopper at the pour end, some additional filing and shaping, it make a rather respectable looking day horn. If you are considering spending more money on parts to build a horn, and are in a hurry or have a short attention span, get this one! You will be impressed with what a little DIY work will result in.This is plain ol' cow horn. Not buffalo. Shame on the seller's deception. It was hastily assembled by a 3rd world nation worker who is clueless about what a real powder horn even looks like. The value lies in the plug and the horn, and is a shortcut, since I didn't want to take the time to hand fit a plug to a horn. It now looks great hanging in conjunction with my leather shooting bag used on a specific flintlock I shoot often.
