It's cheaply made and over priced. It's does work ok. Not as loud as a pre charged can.

Very loud but fairly short blasts...The pump is hard to fit to the canister...I use a Ryobi portable compressor to charge the device...

The included hand pump is kind of pathetic - it feels flimsy, is hard to seal on the valve and it takes a lot of pumps to build pressure. The can says to fill to 100psi (max of 150psi) but the pump could only manage about 80psi at best. The pump will at least work in a pinch if you can't get to an air compressor or good bike pump (assuming it hasn't broken or worn out by then). The noise level is sufficiently loud but I don't know how they can clam 50 x 1/2 second blasts...I'm lucky to get 10 total seconds when filled to 100psi. Final demerits come in the physical design - it really needs a cap over the button to prevent accidental discharge and would be nice if the horn could be removed for transport.Other than all that, it really does work and it is certainly nice to be able to refill it instead of dealing with disposable air horns.

UPDATED AGAIN - The seller was great and this is not a reflection on them. He did put me in touch with his supplier of the airhorn and they provided a new one to replace the defective part. This new horn broke the same way. The back of the airhorn top that screws onto the air canister is plastic and is threaded on. Both times we did not add any air to the horn and on the second blow of the horn the threaded back cover blow off in my hand. There are a number of springs and other things within the piece that fell out. I was trying to find something reusable and not throw away a bunch of air canisters but this product is very low quality and a waste of money with the head that is attached. I would not buy this product or recommend it to anybody. I thought I found a good option for a reusable airhorn for sports horns.UPDATE- the seller put me in contact with the company he buys from and they provide a completely new product. I will test it this weekend and see how it works. customer service was excellent all the way around. If the product excels I will update again with 5 stars. I need the seller to contact me. Shipping was great, packaging and container was great. The first time I blew the horn the back of the horn blew off. Since then it hasn't worked. I need a replacement of the screw-on top. It seems like a good product but we will see.

We recently moved into a very rural area, and like to go hiking along the ATV trails. We are quite far out though and were worried about protecting ourselves in the case of coming across some kind of animal during our hikes. We were concerned about what kind of spray to buy, or how close you might have to get to use it and then we thought about airhorns. But, we wanted one that could be refilled, both for environmental reasons, and also for cost effectiveness. This really fit the bill! It took a while to come, but we did test it out during one of our hikes. I barely pressed the button (because we were afraid of blowing our hearing out, lol) and even with that, it was loud. Guaranteed, no one will have trouble hearing you with this bad boy. And it comes with a nice, sturdy little pump as well. Great product!

What you see is what you get; this air horn is exactly like the ordinary ones you pick up in the stores, maybe made with some higher-quality materials such as ABS instead of run-of-the-mill cheap plastic for the horn part. The pump looks cheap in the pictures; it's not. It's sturdy and works quite well, as does the horn. The horn is the same loudness as the bigger traditional air horns you can get in any store. It puts car horns to absolute shame. However, as it runs on regular air rather than carbon dioxide, the horn is higher-pitched than what you would expect for its size. It's not too high-pitched though, so that is not a problem.My problem comes from the fact that the pump does not have any sort of built-in pressure gauge so you never know how much to pump the horn to. I usually pump it until I can't pump anymore. The safety blow-off is set for 300 psi so it' obvious that this horn's tank can handle a fair amount of pressure, but it can be dangerous if it were to rupture due to pressure. The recommended maximum pressure is 100 psi and it says not to exceed 150 psi. If I were to guess what I can get it to with the small included pump, I'd guess around 70-80 psi.Overall, if you run high school sport events, own a small boat, or find yourself buying air horns a lot, this thing is absolutely worth a buy. A small warning for people who don't like to piss off people inside your house; it comes pressurized, so don't test it as soon as you unbox it if it is indoors!
