It worked fine, it did the job but the metal seems a little soft the hammer marked it up quite a bit

Well, if you’re buying this, good luck. My truck is a 2013 f250 fx4 194,000 miles. My project was ball joints, u-joints, vacuum seals and axle seals. The tool is perfect for the job, and necessary but the job is a bugger. It’s made of high quality material, granted you’re going to be hammering it a lot so it won’t be pretty for long. It appears to be painted, which is fine, the seating faces are machined very well and with tight tolerances. It fits perfectly and exactly to both drive the vacuum seal onto the axle, and to set the axle back into the housing at the exact OEM depth for proper 4x4 function. If you’re doing super duty front axles, u-joints, ball joints, seals, anything involving removing and replacing the axles, buy the tool. And also buy a 36” pry bar to pop out the axles and a long 13” snap-ring tool you’ll thank me later. Watch some YouTube videos and good luck. I was hesitant to spend 60$ for a tool that I’ll use for 1 job, but it’s still way cheaper than paying someone to fix your truck.

The outer size of this was too big to fit inside the hub on a 2008 ford f350 so I could not use it

Great price and does the job well. Use a dead blow hammer and the tool will still lock like new when done.

The product was just like it was described and worked great. The problem was the shipping. It was supposed to been next day but prime has not been what I paid for. The reason I joined Prime was for the next day shipping but has not been getting that. Very disappointed

I by this product because I am mechanic and I install a lot of vacuums seal nevertheless; this product diameter is bigger and not fit and the ford F250 and F350 from 2005 and up. was a waste of many.

I was pleasantly surprised at the nice finish and heavy duty make of this tool. I was hoping that this less expensive option would just get by enough for a one time use. Now. Im not sure if I'll ever wear it out. I have whacked this thing with a 4lb maul and an 8lb sledge no problem. Solid*update* After 3 rounds over a few months.........still taking serious abuse no problem. Had to update because this tool fell victim to my grown up tantrum working on my f250. (Tantrums standard with all newer pickup maintenance) I tried to break it, cracked my concrete shop floor. Hulk smashed a rotor with various dangling parts straight on this tool. Items needed, expensive rotor, wheel bearing, rockite concrete patch, 6 cold beers, but no replacement hub seal banger tool.

I decided to take a chance on this Amazon special after my name brand went missing in the 8 years since I used it last. Huge disappointment. The head cracked, the tool wasn’t flush with the knuckle like the OEM tool is when the seal has reached depth and the tool doesn’t fit right on the shaft then after I finished I noticed marring from where it was hitting the end of the axle shaft. Also noticed discoloration in the inside, not sure if it was bad paint/coating, heat treat, etc.It Took a few good whacks to get the seals on the spindle shaft and all was well. When it came time to run the shaft through the axle and set the seal in the knuckle it set them nicely but man did I have to get on it to drive it the last 1/2” and the tool never sat flush with the knuckle.I moved on to the second seal and same thing the last portion needed some blows to drive the seal and that’s when the head of the tool cracked. Each blow caused a bigger crack until if caved in. The second seal was as far in as it was going to go, however again, the tool wasn’t flush with the knuckle like it should have been and would signify the seal is set.I went back to the first seal and got it to the same depth and felt the back of the knuckle to see it was set but again the tool was not flush. That’s when I noticed damage to the inside as well.Overall not worth it if you plan on keeping the tool. Maybe I got one that wasn’t heat treated correctly but I’m not buying a 4th one to find out. The first 2 I ordered got lost in transit or never shipped and I wasn’t giving Amazon a 4th shot on this.
