This is great paper raffia. So far it’s been strong enough to tie packages and boxes without tearing. I had some paper raffia from Michael’s and theirs was terrible -tore almost every time.I LOVE this ribbon. It’s nice when combined with a shiny ribbon, I bought the red shiny ribbon from Amazon...everyone’s presents looked beautiful this year.

I thought the raffia would degrade faster than my jute. NOPE. I have to use this on plants I want tied down longer and the jute for tying down plants that I need it to degrade faster. Best deal around, too. GReat product for what I needed it for. Very Very strong. Cannot rip it with hands. Need scissors.

I love using raffia ribbon for embellishing gifts. It's casual but elegant, easy but tasteful. Best of all, it's not plastic. Let's face it, gift wrap ribbon is pretty for a few hours then trash forever. Raffia has all of the festive prettiness, none of the non-biodegradeable guilt.
