These are excellent scissors. This company - Wescott - makes good scissors.

These scissors are so much better than others with cheap plastic handles. They are stronger and more durable. At a great price too😎

I was looking for a pair of scissors for paper cutting and couldn't find mine so I ended up aggravated and getting on Amazon and buying 3 different pairs for 3 different drawers so that wouldn't happen again. I wasn't expecting much because they were all inexpensive but figured they would suit my purposes. Or at least 1 or 2 of the 3 would. These little scissors are really nice. I make sure to keep them in the stand by my chair. They are absolutely the sharpest scissors I have ever owned. Even sharper than my sewing scissors, that I paid considerably more money for. I may end up buying another pair for my sewing room.

I prefer a bent handle style and the finger portion of this was a bit too small for my rather female small hands. I ordered these 6" scissors and prefer them. They are pricier at $13.99, but worth it to me because of more comfort & higher quality. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B1CMSND?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I was thrilled to find these old style scissors. I have an extremely old pair that I had as a child. They still are working excellently though there's a little rust on the blades. Now I have a new pair of these heavy, well made, forever lasting, still made in Italy scissors. You just can't go wrong with these.

My grandparents had a pair of scissors similar to these which lasted for some 50+ years. While these may be a bit more expensive than other products, the forged steel construction means they are study, will last for years, and are able to be sharpened (a quick google search can locate craftsmen who can cheaply and quickly sharpen blades such as these; you can also ask you barber/stylist where they get their blades sharpened); this is nice for those wishing to reduce their environmental impact. As a plus, because they are made in Italy, you can feel comfortable knowing the tradesmen and tradeswomen who made them were (most likely) fairly compensated and work in a safe environment.

Winner! So tired of going thru cheap scissors. I didn't want to pay $20+ on a pair of scissors when I'm not a seamstress. But I wanted a pair of scissors that wouldn't break apart when trying to cut something like a tiny metal wire. This is the one. The price is awesome and I put it to the test immediately. This bad girl cut thru a tiny wire like it was butter! Its like the good old fashion scissors back in the day. I'm going back to order a couple more. Its heavy and solid and very sharp!

Heavy, durable, and reasonable quality. After breaking, bending, or loosening multiple "platinum" plastic-handled Westcotts and Fiskars, these one-piece scissors do the job. I immediately bought another. Handles paper, clamshell packages, and medium-levels of corrugated cardboard with ease (even though they're "office scissors"). It could not hack through carpet remnants, but took heavy-duty handling and abuse better than I thought they would. Made in Italy. An alternative is the SKILCRAFT 9" Forged Steel Scissors. Having used both, the Skilcraft is a little thinner with a more delicate cut, and are a little bit cleaner-looking than the Westcotts. Both are very nice pairs of office scissors. Comparatively in build, the Westcott is like a cutlass, whereas the Skilcraft is a rapier.
