This Westbrass highly decorative, fully finished P-Trap and flange make that boring sewer gas catcher look truly stunning. Constructed with corrosion resistant ABS plastic, these traps are adjustable and can be disassembled to reclaim lost coins or jewelry. The traps are easy to install using polypropylene and EPDM washers for extra-tight seals. Inlet size is 1-1/2 in. tubular. Outlet size is either 1-1/2 or 1-1/4 in. Meets ASTM F 409. Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, Jack and Aaron Kagan, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. The P Trap I received leaked because the flange did not sit fully into the trap. Appears to be a manufacturing defect. Due to construction delays, didn’t attempt to install until 30-day return window expired. Purchased much less expensive box store brand and no leak. Total waste of money which seems to be happening with more frequency for me on Amazon.

Have many years plumbing experience. Looks nice, and like the wall escutcheon but the joint from the ptrap to wall drain pipe leaks. After disassembly and careful inspection, I found the connection nut is over sized and not allowing for a proper seal. What a waste of money and time. Off to the hardware store after drying out my vanity and floor.
