This oscillating cutting tool works very well on the wood door jambs I am cutting to allow the vinyl plank flooring to slide under them. When cutting harder materials, I notice the blade gets hot quickly. This is not something that is associated with this particular brand of oscillating tool, I am sure. But cutting for longer periods or harder materials, it seems to be a good practice to stop and let the blade cool prior to finishing the cut. For the few times I have used this one and the infrequent use I see its use in the future, this tool is a good value at an affordable price.

I wasn't sure about this item but after seeing what the local box stores had to offer decided to give it a try. It works great and seems to be constructed well. Has a heavier feel than similarly priced items locally which is a good thing; I don't understand why some complain about the weight. Think about it, do they want a cheap plastic toy? I recommend this item and am well pleased.

Es la primera vez que compro este tipo de herramienta y me dejó muy contento por lo útil que es. Tenía que hacer unos cortes en un área muy difícil que no entraba la caladora y está herramienta me saco del apuro en 5 minutos. Muy recomendable.

I finally got to a job where I needed an oscillating tool but I was hesitant because the big names in power tools want a lot for them. This was substantially less expensive, so I took a chance on it. I'm not disappointed. The blades attach quickly and securely and the tool puts its muscle where the work is instead of vibrating your hand uncomfortably. Overall the quality of construction is comparable to that of more expensive tools, and it gets the job done.

I am installing a new hardwood floor and the best way to do it around door casings is to cut the casing so that the flooring slides under it. The easiest way to do that is with a saw like this. I previously had a battery powered Black & Decker and it was terrible. You could do maybe three cuts before the battery ran out, which is terribly inefficient. This plug-in model from Wen has POWER and makes this kind of cutting a breeze. Plus, the super awesome thing about it is that changing blades, or just putting the blade in when you are starting a project, or removing it when you are storing the tool, is SUPER easy with the quick change lever which makes this process a matter of seconds, and no tools are required. I mean, this thing totally rocks and it made my DIY flooring job WAY easier. I have a lot of high end tools from Bosch, DeWalt, Hitachi, etc, and this Wen is nearly the same quality for way less. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

This has become one of my favorite tools to use around the house. So far it has held up well, no problems and has plenty of power. No reason to spend twice as much for a more popular name brand.

I purchased this brand in part because of a previous purchase of a WEN portable band saw which has made my life easier and impressed me greatly. I have only used this oscillating tool a few times, and didn't want to break the bank on a tool I seldom used. Once as a trim saw, which functioned great. The blade included had fine teeth. For my use a coarser blade probably would have worked better. The blade became very hot during use as a plunge cutting tool in plywood. I used s lower speed once I realized this.I also used it a few times as a sander. Although the tool is a handy and compact size for that, I was a bit disappointed with how quickly the sand paper loaded up and became ineffective. Could just be the brand of sanding pads I purchased. My initial concern with the tool's longevity regarding the plastic lever that operates the pad/blade quick release was probably not a concern after all. There isn't much effort to move the lever, so the plastic lever is probably going to last as long as the rest of the tool. Well engineered plastics are used in all sorts of high strength applications including vehicles and firearms. The entire body of most power-tools are now built of plastic. As is this tool, except for the gear housing which is aluminum alloy. If you want one of these tools, be sure to compare the features like variable speed and quick release blade. Some tools have one set speed or require a small wrench to remove or attach the blade. Neither is acceptable for me. This tool's features compete well with other brands costing 3 times as much. It is a bargain.

Overall this thing is really useful. Made a big project with bathroom tile and wall doable. The blade change system is great. The bag is a little snug but will keep the dust off.
