I bought a skill belt sander and it worked for about 20 minutes and started smoking was very weak from the start. The Wen is a real trooper, I sanded for about an hour straight and the motor never got warm, I also bought there spiral planer, jig saw and buffer. Very happy with all of their products. Next time I need a tool, I will buy from Wen if they have what I need.

I've had this sander for over a year now and have had to use it a handful of times. Sander works great! However, the 4AH battery lasts about 10 minutes before it goes out.

I bought this Wen cordless belt sander after being happy with a recent purchase of a Wen bench model drill press... I use these tools for very light hobby woodworking projects.I got the belt sander May28th, unboxed it that night and charged the battery overnight. This morning, May 29th, I tried using it for the first time and found the variable speed switch didn't adjust the speed at all, the motor was anemic and seemed to overheat and shut off after 2-3 minutes of very light sanding at a very slow speed (that couldn't be adjusted due to the defective speed switch). This motor shut down may be due to a thermal switch that shuts the motor off when it overheats. I waited for 15 minutes and tried using the sander again... it started and then shut off as before. Returning it ASAP.

El producto parece bueno, pero la pila se descarga en 3 minutos .... Es decir comienzas a trabajar y apenas comienzas cuando se descarga la pila...y para cargarla dura muchísimo tiempo....esto no es funcional así...Pregunto... Aún que ya la abrí para calarla puedo devolverla?

Never had a player before so I don't have anything to compare the performance to but, the motor has never bogged down and wood chips they are a flyin.I personally think wen products are a good value tool. I have several tools from them. Never have a problem with their performance.

I'm a Luthier and generally I work with guitar body blanks that are 15x20x2 and I bought this to speed up my surfacing time prior to cutting and this Belt sander does just that. After using this I wonder why I waited for so long to buy one. It is smooth to operate (no jumping or skipping around). It gets to business right away, I was impressed on how much easier this belt sander (WEN HB632V 6.3-Amp 3-by-18-Inch Variable Speed) made my job and how quickly it performed. Also it is nice to be able to hook up a vacuum to this for dust removal. I am really glad I bought this. I recommend it highly

I gave the belt sander 5 stars since it is a great little work horse and I like the product. However, the sander I'm using did not come from Amazon because the one Amazon sent me was a used, "like new". It showed up destroyed by the previous owner who cut the power cord in half by getting it jammed in the belt before returning it. Shame on you Amazon. That wasted two days on my project waiting for another sander to arrive. You need better QC on used "like new" things you send out the door.
