WEN makes great products, from power tools to simple clamps like these. I love that they provide quality tools at almost half the price of what other makers charge for the same item. I used it to hold a jig in place against kitchen cabinet doors while I drilled holes for the handles. It held the jig in place just fine. If I had to do it again, I might have gotten one with a deeper throat, due to the size of the jig. Otherwise, it works just like my old trusty Vise Grips. Just turn the knob so that it holds the piece(s) in place the way you like it - very tight or not too tight depending on what you are clamping. The rubber handle is a nice touch too.Just like Vise Grips, when you release clamp, be ready for it to snap open, especially if you have it on very tight. This is normal. I like to hold the handles while releasing the lever, so that it comes off slower.

I have have built more than 200 display cabinets using pocket hole joinery for the face frames for the past 20 years. I had always used a set of Kreg 3" clamps to do so. So, working on a large display cabinet for myself and with a bunch of Amazon gift cards, I decided to look at some new clamps on Amazon. I ran across these WEN clamps at what looked to be a really low price, so I ordered two. Well, I used them yesterday and all I can say is I wish I had these 20 years ago. They are very sturdy. They align and hold the face frame together perfectly and totally out perform the old Kreg clamps. These are a great bargain!!!

I purchased these for clamping cabinet face frames. The good/great: they are very sturdy and a great value for the money. The clamping pressure is more than sufficient and uses a mechanism similar to a pair of vise grips. The only negative I've seen so far: the clamping mechanism is very stiff, especially the release lever. If you deal with hand arthritis or lack finger/grip strength, you might struggle with these. Otherwise, great set of clamps for what face clamps are usually used for.
