Don’t be fooled by the flat look of these sponges! They are Weller replacements and with a little water they look just like the old one.I nursed my original one for years and I love now having original replacements so I can change my sponge often!

These work as a replacement sponge for my Weller we1010 solder station. Something about these makes cleaning the iron tip very easy so would recommend these as opposed to cutting up a sink sponge or whatever. Worth the extra cost.

Needed sponges for my ec4000 Weller station

Unlike other tip cleaning sponges I'd been able to access, these were the right size for the recess on the Weller soldering station I have. However, unlike the illustration, the sponges were not sliced on one side to make tip cleaning a single pass process - a bit disappointing, particularly given the cost.

The exact size for my trusty old Weller from the early 1980's. I've seen other reviews saying that the sponge burns or is too small. Please make sure you add water to the sponge before use!

These things are NOWHERE like the ones from Weller. Wet them and they expand slightly. Sorry, but these are rediculous. Especially at the price.Go to the cleaning supply section of your grocery or hardware store where you can see what you are getting.
