Best purchase of the year for me. Weighed Star-Link against WeBoost for my purchase. I didn’t want the $150 monthly cost in addition to original equipment costs, nor do I always have an open view of satellites from the campsites I frequent. So I chose Weboost.I camped in places I only had 1 bar of signal, only to turn on WeBoost and get 3 bars. Was able to use Verizon Hotspot (iPhone) and have HD video reception on Roku Sling, Max, etc. 100 gig of Hotspot a month thru Verizon for $10. But, remembering that if you have NO signal to start with, you have NO signal to amplify.Install:I mounted the antenna to the ladder and routed the cable through the outside upper refrigerator exhaust vent cover. Drilled a 3/8 hole into the cabinet (accessing from the back of the refrigerator vent area from the outside) and ran the cable through the cabinets to the back of the TV. I did test the unit out first on a quick overnight camping trip by loosely routing the cable from the ladder over the roof and through my slide-out gasket (as suggested in some reviews) without permanently drilling any holes to ensure the unit worked okay and wouldn’t need to be returned. Being satisfied, I then made the permanent install. I called customer service once and got great feedback on my install questions. Totally satisfied with my purchase.

For years we used a Wilson Amplifier booster in our RV. It worked fine, but required your phone to be resting on the device. Acceptable for using the phone as a “hot spot” but for voice or text you had to stand over the phone. Also, only one phone would be useable. With the weBoost multiple devices can be amplified at the same time. My wife and I can both text and talk at the same time. The range of the internal antenna is limited. We found it would not cover more than half the length of our RV. We found it best to place the inside antenna close to where we spend most of our time - between our recliners. If I leave my iPhone in that area with the hot spot activated I have internet access the entire length of our RV and reasonable distance outside. We spent a fair amount of time trying different inside and outside antenna locations looking for the perfect configuration. Looking for the “miracle”. After a year since the purchase I think I have a better understanding of its operation. While the greater the distance between the antennas the better, you can get them fairly close. I am writing this with the antennas being about 12 feet apart. I think the inside antenna is actually a low power cell tower. Your phone will connect to the tower with the strongest signal, why your need to be in close proximity to it.Like my old Wilson Amp booster, you have to have some signal for it to work at all. One of our frequent camping locations the phone will only show 1 bar. Amplified I get 2 bars and can stream video as long as too many other camper aren’t on their devices. That’s the cell provider’s problem, not weBoost’s.Overall, I am satisfied with the weBoost and it’s operation.

I ordered this product because i understood the limitations based on the reviews and still it appeared to be the best product out there for remote work in my RV. Sometimes we boondock and in my high tech job i need to remain connected.I ordered the product on March 2, 2021 today is July 20, 2021 and it is still not working. please read on.On the first trip with this product it didn't perfom. i had a signal to use my cell to call their customer support whom seemed very responsive. I am in high tech and an exec of a software company so kind of understand this stuff and can recognize a great support organization. I told them I appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism. even wrote a review. The agent said that through process of elimination that one or both of the antenna's (outdoor and indoor) was faulty and they would send out two new antennas first to see if that solves the problem.I waited and waited. I out the outdoor one finally and called and asked where the other one was. they saw that was odd that it didn't ship and when they checked they told me that orders take precedence over parts!!! They said they would send the indoor one. didn't arrive. Called in I believe mid-June and they said it was backlogged. they said it would take longer to issue a RA to get a whole new product and assured me that the product would ship by JULY 9.Today is July 20 and I called support. They said it didn't ship, new orders overrule existing customer issues and said they would take it up one level and give me an answer by the end of this day but there are no guarantees when I will get the product.I now let them know my dissatisfaction with this St George Utah company. I even offered to have an employee of mine in that town offer to go over and pick it up. I verified that manufacturing and distribution was there but I would have to wait and they would give me a new ETA by the end of the day.I have now reached out in LinkedIn to speak to the President.I did inform support that the complaining from me will start now and the damage of bad experiences far outweighs taking care of your customers.HERE IS WHAT GETS ME. I could order another one from Amazon. Get it today and ship Amazon back this non-functioning unit but i don't support that kind of behavior so I won't. Coming up on five months after spending $500 I have nothing to show for it. I have been cordial and polite and so has their staff. it is their policy that is in need of tuningTakeaway. Understand that if you have a problem their customer support is well trained to fix nothing at all.Consider other options outside of this company.I will take this message out on other media platforms and will speak with their leadership. This is aweful.
