I just received and fitted the eyebloc webcam cover to my new MacBook Pro (2024 14" M4). It fits and works perfectly, is easy to use and is the best solution I've seen for covering the camera. Of note, it is slightly thinner than the rubber "bumper" around the screen, so that it doesn't add any thickness whatsoever to the lid and the and fits within the bezel area (i.e., it doesn't cover any of the screen). Finally, being magnetic, it doesn't leave any sticky residue like every other solution that I've seen.

At first I thought I wasn't getting much considering the price, but once I put this on my MacBook it changed my mind. It is a simple design but 100% effective. Unlike other camera blockers, there is no adhesive left on the screen as it uses the built-in magnets. Also, the lid closes 100% of the way with this on. This integrates beautifully into the aesthetics of my new macbook, so it's completely worth the price.

This thing is perfect. I have never been able to find a camera block for my Mac that worked because of the flush close, so I have been constantly using clips or various sticky notes to block it. I came across this on accident and I am so pleased with it! This mounts via the magnets already in that location on the Mac, no stickers, closes flush, and you just slide the whole thing back and forth with your finger over the magnets to open and close it. Easy and no smaller moving parts that could break like on the other versions.I will definitely be buying more for the other Macs in our house.

It’s a good product but expensive for what it is, which is why it’s 4 stars. You could easily use sick on page markers which do the same thing. I know the idea with this product is to blend in and that it does. So much so that it’s difficult to see where it is in a dark area.

Well, if you can ignore the price (which is slightly justifiable given how it works and how it is attached yo the screen), it actually does a decent job by just sliding it back and forth over the camera.Make sure you keep the adhesive plastic thing on as this is supposed to minimize friction against the screen.

The cover magnetised onto the whole bezel and notch of the Mac, such that you hardly notice it. You can easily slide the cover to open or cover the web cam as needed.Well worth it and definitely recommend.

I initially thought it was missing the sliding window component. Turns out it doesn't have one and you slide the entire bar.It's a very clunky, inelegant design imo but you may find it satisfactory.

This was exactly what I was looking for as I had the previous one for the older macbooks and needed a new one for my 2021 Macbook Pro. So glad to see they came out with this updated "thinner" version. It fits perfectly and works exactly as intended. A little pricey but it's the best out there in terms of that minimalist, sleek design that you can't even see and 100% gets the job done. Laptop also closes perfectly normal with it in place and a quick slide reveals the camera if need be for use (I use an external camera on a seperate monitor so I rarely need to slide it). Overall great product/solution.

I purchased the Eyebloc Webcam Cover for use with my 2021 M1 Macbook Pro. Before my purchase I was using a folded piece of index card to cover the whole notch area. This product works well and I'm very happy with it so far. It clips to the front of my laptop using the border magnets built into the display. Once placed, it is virtually invisible. You have to look very closely to see it and it blocks the camera very effectively. If you need to use the camera, you simply slide the entire cover to expose the camera.Does it cover the camera any more effectively than a piece of index card or tape? No. But it looks much better, allows the laptop to close cleanly with it installed, stays in place, allows the light sensor in the monitor to function properly, and doesn't leave any sticky adhesive on the screen. Yes, it is expensive for its purpose but to me, it's worth it.I like it so much I'm going to purchase a second one for my work laptop.
