There's a tiny ridge on the edge that I filed off. Otherwise it grips my scope well on my .22 LR rifle. Zero didn't move even after the rifle slipped off the rack and hit the rack with the scope.

These are the second set I’ve purchased for my rifles. Large contact patch and skeletonized frame ensures it holds my scope securely on my .308 while keeping weight low.Fit and finish is excellent, maybe not as polished as some other high end rings, but don’t let that fool you to think they’re garbage. They look great on the rifle, easy to install, and won’t break the bank. I’ve had no problems while tightening the rings on both my rifles with them crushing the tube at all. And they’re the larger 30mm tubes too.The low rings fit a 44mm objective on a low profile weaver rail with a spotter barrel with at least 7-8mm to spare.Medium rings fit 56mm objective on a 20moa weaver rail with also 7-8mm of space, but on a heavy barrel.Long story short, if I need rings in the future, I’m purchasing another set of these.

I just installed these rings and haven't had a chance to shoot them. With that in mind...they're on a Savage Axis XP .308. I installed a Weaver rail on the gun first, and mistakenly ordered the Weaver style instead of Picatinny. The Picatinny rail was about 3x the price, so I just ordered these rings instead. I'm glad I did. They seem solid, and the scope seems very secure. I could be wrong. I may take the gun out and shoot it now and the scope start walking. I don't think that's gonna happen, though. I used the torque specs from the Weaver website, and the whole setup seems rock solid. (For anyone who has an Axis, the objective on my scope is 44mm, and it's long enough that the bell clears the rail and the barrel just enough).

Good for the money overall. You will need to sand the sharp edges in order not to scratch your scope. Will buy again.

Great price and quality rings. Mounted on a Ruger American predator 22-250. The Ruger has a high base already so I ordered the low rings hoping it would fit a 44mm objective. It fit and still has plenty of room. I think for this gun and low 30mm rings I could even mount a 50mm objective lense scope. Scope is a Bushnell engage 4-16x44 worked great no movement.

Decent rings for the price. As another purchaser said, I had to file down all the edges and corners on the sides where the scope rests in the pocket.Minor burrs and sloppy machining. Bad enough that the scope wouldn't spin freely for adjustment with out filing, and most definitely ruin the finish on the scope. 2 min with a hand file and they're good to go.Minor lapping needed, I've seen worse with higher priced rings. All in all, solid rings, the look is nice, and finish is ok. 6 bolts per ring might be a little overkill, but they're solid. Torx bolts is a big plus. For those of you using a 20 MOA rail, these fit nicely with a 50mm objective lense scope.

These are the lowest rings I could find in 30mm. I really don't know how much of a difference these lower cost rings make compared to the expensive rings but so long as they can be lapped and hold zero, I don't care. These work fine and the price is right. I used these to mount an LER scout scope to my Yugo Mauser for the same reasons everyone else does: I am frustrated with the standard iron Mauser sights and didn't want to modify the original design by drilling and tapping. The Yugo Mauser may not be a collector's item but it certainly will be worth more someday than the $159 I paid for it, especially if I maintain its original design.

good quality for the price. the rail attachment could be a little stronger though in a perfect world. however, i would still recommend these to someone who is looking for low cost rings.

I have these installed on my Remington 700 SPS Tacticle in .308. They were perfect for mounting a SWFA 10x42 on a Weaver 20 MOA base. The scope sits nice and low but has plenty of clearance for my tactical bolt knob. I also get the perfect cheek weld with my B&C Medalist M40 style stock. The rings are as heavy duty as you can get for aluminum. I've tested them out with target shooting out to 400 yards (that's the longest range we have in my area) and have killed a nice 8 point buck and several hogs using this rifle so far. I had a fresh coat of Duracoat on the rifle about a month before hunting season. The rifle sits in the back seat with no protection and has taken a pretty good beating. I'm actually missing some coating in spots. So, I'd say that these rings are tough and I don't see why anybody would spend more money on any other brand scope ring.

I'm usually a believer in spending more for quality. I'll usually opt for the highest end (not necessarily most expensive, but it often is) version of a particular item to ensure I'm not making any compromises. That said, I have NO idea why some rings are so expensive when these work so well for 1/4 to 1/10th the price. I'm sure for 1500 yard shooting with a $700 scope there might be something about the $100+ rings that makes them worth a little more (though maybe not that much). For anything else it's crazy. I'm also not saying you only get $100 rings if you want accuracy. I bought these for a bench gun setup and it's working great. These are all you need for 99.9% of applications.

Awesome rings, hold scope to rifle great. Since these are aluminum, I would recommend the following: - DO NOT LAP aluminum rings. All aluminum rings have a hard coating over the soft aluminum. Lapping would remove this coating and expose the soft aluminum, which could cause problems over time. The "skeleton" design should give them just enough flex to mate to the scope's tube uniformly. Also, lapping grit could embed itself into the soft aluminum and leave marks on your scope tube. - Do not overtighten these. Since they are "skeleton" design and made of aluminum, they could warp/flex and lose holding power over time. I went 24 inch/lbs which might be on the high side. 20 inch/lbs should be perfect. Loctite (removable strength) is optional, but definitely doesn't hurt. - Base screws should be set at 24 inch/lbs.These are mating a SWFA SS10x42 to a Thompson/Center Venture .308. I'm sure they could handle bigger calibers as well.Happy shooting!

I used these rings to mount a Bushnell Trophy 4-reticle red dot sight to a newly purchased Mini-14 tactical. Right out of the box, these scream quality. The fit and finish are top notch, all hardware matched up perfectly, and the skeleton design is light and wicked looking. And the torx-style hex screws are a great touch. They matched up perfectly to my rifle's GG&G rail. I really like these rings, so much in fact, that I just purchased two more sets for a couple 10/22s that I'm dressing up in ATI stocks and other goodies! And made in the USA! I highly recommend.
