These are strong and, even with a small amount of velcro contact, they'll do the job. The only drawback is deciding which direction to run the ribbon through the slot - good news is you have a 50-50 chance.

I carry ladders on my work truck. Instead of romex wire, I use these which hold tight and are so easy to use. Recommend product!!

For all of us with regular ladder racks these are amazing. First note they come in a pair, so value is great. Very easy clean look, no cutting rachet straps short & limiting their use or dealing with 6’ of more of overhang. Nothing worse then a tail coming unwrapped & flapping in the wind making you look unprofessional & scaring people that just don’t know better, also being lettered up & that. Not good, these fix it all, Iv carried 28’ fiberglass extensions without even a budge. One note I recommend is to throw a cable lock around your ladders since you just made removal of said ladder in 30 seconds. I started with one pair & ended up with three & two more sets as gifts. Black straps on a black ladder rack just look clean. Like all the other five star reviews these are hands down one of the best buys especially if you do a lot of quick repairs using your ladders on multiple jobs all day long.

They work. They need at least twice the amount of 'loop' in the hook-and-loop ratio. A bit thicker nylon and more loop section would make them 5 star.
