I purchased this for my school work as I’m in nursing school and it allowed me to see a very poorly lit ear canal and tympanic membrane. The smaller the tip you use, the harder it is to see since the light only shines through the size of the hole of the tip you use. If you’re getting this as a one off or practice otoscope then it’s fine, but if you’re using it for actual examinations, then I recommend else where. With how cheap it is, the quality does match. I gave it a three because it comes with the battery.

My dog constantly had gunck in her ears.This octoscope helps me make sure I am getting every bit of gunck out when cleaning her ears.She tolerates it well. Worth the price.

Please save yourself the hassle and frustration and just buy a dr.mom brand otoscope. This brand is as cheap as it gets, the speculums are basically the same diameter size except the hole to see through is smaller, kind of makes it pointless to see inside a smaller ear canal. The "LED" is a dull yellow light that is awful to look at inside an ear. Bad product.
