This is a great little device for being able to check out inside ears, up noses or even inside of a mouth. It's super easy and intuitive to use with basically no setup.Takes picture and videos that are a decent quality but even though the resolution might be 1080p the bitrate quality may not be what you might expect when you think "HD". The display on the device does a reasonable job to get an idea of what's going on which can be reasonably clear when you've got it pointed at the right angle and distance away from what you're looking at. Don't expect the video to be much more clear than that though.Without proper medical training I don't think you're going to be able to determine too much from what you're seeing but if there is a case where maybe there is a worry that your child has stuck something up their nose or in their ear you should be able to tell that something is in there before a trip to the doctor. This devices can also be helpful in getting an idea how effective something like a wax removal kit is with being able to see first hand if there is a visual improvement. It's worth noting that while it can save a bunch of images in the device there doesn't appear to be a way to get them off the device to your computer for sharing. You only seem to have the option of viewing and deleting them on the device itself. However, if you put an SD card into the device it will save copies of images and video to that which can be easily accessed by plugging the device into your computer. I would definitely recommend putting a small SD card (2-4gb should be plenty) into the device for storing your videos and images especially if you want to be able to easily download and share them.

If you have kids, you already know that earaches are inevitable—especially if they swim a lot. This otoscope is a real no-brainer. It’s easy to use, doesn’t require an app, and even lets you take pictures on it’s built in memory. The design is straightforward, and the built-in screen is exactly where you’d want it, making it much easier to use than models that rely on a phone screen. Just turn it on, insert the tip, and you get a clear view without any complicated setup. The 1080P resolution is sharp enough to see details, and the built-in LED lights help illuminate the ear canal. You can also zoom in if needed, though the fixed focus means you might have to adjust the angle a bit for the clearest view, which is typical with these devices.Another big plus is that you can take pictures and store them on the device. This could be useful for tracking changes over time (to compare if it’s getting worse or better) or even showing to a doctor. It would be nice if it came with a small micro-SD card for video recording, but they’re common, readily available, and given the price of this Otoscope ($19.99) completely forgivable. It does have internal memory that will allow up to 300 pictures. One thing to note is that it’s really not something you can use on yourself, without someone helping you. If that’s what you’re considering, you’d be better off opting for something where you can view it on your phone while you probe your ear. That said, I don’t expect this will be a issue with most people.Build quality seems solid, with a fit and finish that would make me think it costs 2-3x as much. Very impressed at this price point. It also has bright led lights, and a 2000 mAh rechargeable battery that charges via usb-c which again at this price point is impressive. 3hrs of charge gives you about 8 hrs of run time. It also comes with a good selection of attachments. As for criticism, the screen resolution isn’t super, but it’s perfectly workable, and more than acceptable at this price point. It provides enough resolution to get a good idea of what you’re dealing with when you’re in the right focus range - optimally around 1.4cm.Final Thought - Super impressed with the performance, convenience and value of this digital otoscope. No brainer for parents, and the most convenient digital otoscope I’ve used and I've used several that cost 3x more. At $19.99 it’s a steal!

This otoscope is safe and easy to use with a nice quality display. We had a wand type otoscope that plugs into your phone to show the image. The wands work fine but have the potential for ear damage if inserted too far. We needed an otoscope to check our dog’s ears and weren’t comfortable using the wand on her. This one comes with a variety of silicone tips and the shorter wider one worked good on a wriggling dog. The unit has LEDs that do a fine job illuminating the ear canal. The swivel head made viewing easier. The screen displays a crisp HD image. Having the screen attached to the unit was much easier to use than plugging the scope into your phone and trying to hold the scope and phone at the same time while dealing with an antsy patient. This unit will also record stills and video that can be transferred to your computer via USB. We had no need of this feature but I can see where it could come in very handy to show the patient or doctor what is going on in there. The scope was usable right out of the box – just power up and go. The scope has a rechargeable battery chargeable via USB. It also has a zoom function and a variable focus range. We are very happy with the purchase.

I can’t get over how absolutely incredible this little scope is like so many other consumer products that I’ve acquired recently. I had no intention of using it for the given purpose that it was marketed for rather when I seen immediately thought that it could make like a very very handy borescope specifically for looking inside of spark plug holes to see if the combustion chamber of a given engine for a visual inspection just the shape of it in the zoom capacities along with getting a good view inside of other areas that are inconvenient, just by the nature of the way this is held and small The screen is small, but it’s actually remarkably clear one or two times zoom from about an inch away from your hand and it looks like elephant skin, and you can watch it zoom in. It’s really quite remarkable just how much detail you can get from something and to my honest surprise my wife and children and I must’ve spent a good 45 minutes proving each other‘s ears zooming in and out, going “oooooo ahhhhh” in legitimate surprise at the price point for this I’m legitimately shocked no it’s not game changing 10 years ago. It probably would’ve been at the price today. It’s just part of regular life, but it’s no less awe inspiring. That’s such a small simple device can actually view things that otherwise would be impossible to see judging by the shape and size of the grip part. I would say it’s probably based around 18 650 battery cell would be my best guess which would make sense and would make it potentially serviceable too all in all it is a crazy value for the price and it’s got functionality the manufacturers haven’t even thought of imagine if there was an 8-12” extender available that slips over the camera shaft which would then allow for inspection of even more not just cylinder heads but throttle bodies exhaust behind large appliances or underneath them and with the zoom capabilities wow I’d be willing to pay more for the attachment to go with it than the device itself is worth that’s how game changing that would be… but I can understand that wouldn’t make for a wise decision seeing how it’s being marketed as a ear nose throat inspection tool you give someone a 12” extension there’s no telling what kind of lawsuits may follow shortly after that release…. But as a budget conscious one time mechanic who now is part of the DIY /Hobbyist community I’d love to see this in black with some thicker rubber bumpers along the outside edge of the screen make the probe double the length as standard or have optional 6-12” extender if that would be possible add a battery door so that the 18650 can be removed and charged with a stand alone battery charger that way when it dies your not tethered to a wall or waiting for it to charge I’m not sure if it’s functional or not while being charged I never thought to check that…. But do that and have it in a blow molded or foam lined hard case and market it to the DIYer home hobbyist for mechanical work and it’s accessible enough that it wouldn’t be exclusively professional level product and would not be limited to the prosumer community regardless as it is its crazy how awesome this little scope really is 5 stars without question

This rating is based on the sale price when ordered of around $20CAD.So at that price I didn't know what to expect for something that came with a screen, camera and battery but overall I'm very impressed. We just had a baby that is about 2 months and were concerned about an ear infection and we have an ear cleaner with a camera that connects to a phone to see and has inspection tips but you shouldn't stick anything in babies ears and did not feel comfortable using it, but this is a bit different. The tips are soft and rubbery and comes with 2 sizes with multiples of each and they allow for a safer use when trying to inspect someone's ear. Due to the design of this being very similar to the medical ones doctors use it allows for more stable and precise control that made it possible to see in babies ear without touch it.The screen is just the right size and quality to make this useable. The zoom function is good it's digital zoom. The light has stages to be able to see well. You can snap a picture if you install i micro SD card.If you have kids or live with someone as this isn't easy to use on yourself, this is really great for easy ear inspections.

With its HD camera and powerful LED light, you can easily examine ears, nose, throat and even skin. It is safe for everyone in the family, including pets. Also, with the function of taking photos, recording videos and saving them to a micro SD, I can share the images with a health specialist. In addition, it includes specula for the ears, nose, throat and skin, and a data/charger cable. It is an instrument that should be part of the home first aid kit as it can detect possible long-term infections.

My daughter and husband constantly have plugged ears. The problem is not being able to see just how bad, and that makes cleaning and caring for them difficult. This changed that! The viewing screen is plenty big to clearly see what the camera is looking at. The camera is very clear, and much better than I thought it would be. I love that with a simple button press, I can take a photo, and review it if I'm using it on myself. It holds a micro SD card too, so you could download the photos if needed. It also has a small zoom.It has bright lights to guide the way, and comes with several soft silicone tips, and an attachment for looking at skin areas. I love that its multifunctional, and can look into ears, nose and throat, which is great for cold and flu times, and especially for kids. It also looks very friendly, which for kids is a bonus since any medical devices can seem scary. It charges via USB-C, which is convenient. It seems to hold it's charge for a long time, so I'm not concerned about it running out quickly.Honestly, this is the neatest thing to add to your home aid kit.

Just what I needed for checking my daughter ears because of constant ear infections before go to the specialist. Nice technology that allows visualization of ear wax, if any, ear canal and tympanic membrane on a screen much like that of a smart phone. Can take pictures and save them or even upload them to another device, which could prove useful in sending to a medical provider for a telehealth conference. I don't know if most people would feel comfortable using the tools provided to scoop out wax from ear, but just being able to see what is, or is not, going on in this is well worth the price paid.

This otoscope shows very clear images on a large screen. The ability to screenshot and send to a provider is awesome. My wife is an NP and we have never looked in my ears before, after looking we found that I had a large blockage when I suspected I had clean ears... This tool is great! Maybe I'll now be able to hear my wife a bit better.... Maybe we should put the wax back...

The camera feature of this bad boy lets me see inside my own ears. Who knew there was a hole in my left eardrum!? Gotta get a follow-up with the doc to see what needs to be done to heal that bad boy. I just thought my hearing was going because I listen to music too loudly. Being curious about the inside of my ears showed a real problem. So crazy!
