I bought these crayons after experimenting with an Easter egg dyeing kit wax crayon in some of my watercolor/ink paintings to preserve negative space. The value of these is outstanding, they work exactly as I was hoping they would, they don't feel any more fragile than a Crayola crayon, low odor (they just smell like regular crayons).However, they come in a flimsy thin cardstock type of box with a poor closure flap. Just a single piece of tape would rectify this issue. I had ordered some other items with these and they were all packaged in the same paper mailer with a lot of room around them. The box was popped open and I'm surprised the crayons weren't every where inside the mailer. If they were, I'm sure some of them would have been broken.Please, just add a since piece of tape to the flap of the box!

Use these to make 'white' spaces on watercolor paper before color is applied. The wax goes on smooth and precise. Good product.

Wax crayons like any, but clear and without labels. Break with too much pressure.

These were way over priced. I could have bought a box of crayola crayons a lot cheaper and gotten better results. I was also short on the number of crayons that were supposed to be in the box. I wanted these for a wax resist on a water color painting I was working on and the result was not as great as I was hoping for. I will not purchase these again.

This is perfect for my art! I like to be able to scratch off previous layers of paint, and the wax underneath makes it very easy to do. It gives me that unpredictable element in my paintings!
