No instructions. Pins don’t stay. Keeps falling. Don’t want to try to return because I already cut it and sewed it. Annoyed with the entire ordeal.

Very easy to sew on. Very flexible - but firm enough to hold curtains in a wave pattern. Purchased these with the intent of transforming my rod pocket panels onto a track to create the wave design. Having a slit every 1/4 inch was very convenient in designing how large you want the waves in my drapes. The hooks were great as well because they were designed to allowed me to attach a chain that would keep the wave pattern even when the drapes were in the open position. Would definitely buy again.

I found this product difficult to use. It is essentially clear nylon webbing that you sew across the back side of the header on your curtains. It was the only product I found that looked like it would accept curtain hooks which I intended to use to attach to rings and eyelets (as opposed to rings and clips) and it does. There are no instructions or helpful hints provided and it tends to slip as you sew and pucker the curtain material. My first try wasn't successful and I had to rip it out. My tips: iron the curtain header first, pin the webbing to the header approx every 2 inches along the length, leave the pins in place as you sew (if you slow down when approaching pins, your machine will usually go around them without a problem), use a jersey/knit needle, and widen your stitch length to 4mm. Curtain header tape is sewn to the header usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the top of the header and at the bottom of the header. (The header is that large hem at the top of the curtain as opposed to the hem which is at the bottom of the curtain).

I sewed the tape and added the hooks as shown in the photos but there are no instructions included. If simply following those two steps is supposed to make your curtain panels maintain folds, I have done something wrong. I wish some directions had been included so there wouldn't be so much guess-work.

It's amazing to me that it's so hard to find ripple/wavefold curtain tape in the US. This is perfect. Attaching it to the curtain is the easiest part - two seams top and bottom and you're done. The clips included work very well. I have made 3 curtains with this so far, and need to buy another roll for my final curtain, which will be 100" wide. The first started as Pottery Barn 100" wide Silk Duponi rod-top panel. I stitched this across the top, hemmed, and the curtain was done. The second and third started as Velvet tab top panels. I turned them upside down (the velvet nap was in the wrong direction), stitched them together, then stitched this tape across the now-top. One curtain is 84 inches wide, the other is 172 inches. I've hung all of these using the IKEA Vidga curtain rack system, and it works great. I just alternate how I insert the clips, and they naturally create the wave.

I have not sewed with it yet, maybe when I do I will update this review. But simply by opening it up and examining it I can see that it is going to be a dream to sew with.It is firm, and you need your drapery tape to have firmness or else your curtains and drapes will sage.It is firm but not thick, thick ones are hard to sew, I actually think this is a perfect drapery tape, I am so glad I bought it. I am leaving a review because there was only one other review and I hope other potential buyers will appreciate having an honest review from a real Amazon sewing buyer. I have not used the plastic hooks yet, I do think they are going to work just fine, but if they don't I can always just buy metal drapery hooks, they are cheap. But I think these that are included are going to work just fine, I am sewing ripple fold sheer drapes so these plastic hooks will not have a lot of weight on them. If you are going to sew heavy draperies maybe buy some metal hooks. But the hooks are secondary, the main part is the drapery tape, and that is TOP, really great. I don't need to have sewed it first to tell. You can tell as soon as you unroll a little bit of it and examine it. It is really hard to find drapery tape for ripple fold drapes, and ripple fold drapes are so simple and elegant looking. Pinch pleat drapes are the 50s/60s/70 etc. Ripple fold is the style for our times, simple elegant, this drapery tape is going to make my sewing project so easy. If you can sew a straight line you can make beautiful ripple fold drapes and sheer drapes with this tape, as that is all it is, just sew a long straight line, use the hooks to make the soft folds.Edit 2024- I sewed sheer drapes onto the tape. I hung them and pushed some fabric in and pulled some fabric out once they were hung to make the ripples. I closed the sheer drapes and then used clear fishing line to sew the backs of the ripples along a line of fishing line. Like this, catch the needle at the back of the first back ripple, leave sufficient clear fishing line to get to the back of the next "back" ripple, mine is about 4", then catch the back of the next ripple with the needle. In other words you do not sew the backs of the ripples tight to each other, leave the clear line suspended between the back ripples with the curtain open. This keeps my ripple shape pretty good after opening. I still love this product.
