I bought this to pump the excess rain water off the pool cover. Although it does a good job, I had to fabricate something to keep it from sucking itself to the cover. So I used some chicken wire to create a gap. It does good now. If they could incorporate something like this with the pump it would be much better. Other than that, I think it works great!

Do not order this product. The first one I ordered sparks came from the motor and it cut off. Got another, and it only worked for 5 minutes before that one shorted out. Will not order again. Good luck if you do order

It only pumps 35 gallons an hour. Used it to drain my waterbed.

I ordered a TDRFORCE Transfer Pump from Amazon on June 29, 2024. I bought it for when I go up to a camp where I haul in my own water. I have 2, 35 gal. drums to pump out each time. This pump worked great for the first two trips, 70 gal's each trip. On the third trip it, when I plugged it in, a couple small sparks popped out the end, but it was pumping. It was halfway done with the first tank when it just stopped. It was actually on the 30th day after the purchase. With no phone service, I wasn't able to contact Amazon to return it. I tried to contact TDRFORCE when I got back home, to see if I can get a replacement but their contact link goes to a blank page. So, I have a worthless pump with no options. I would Definitely Not recommend this product.

This is our first time using something like this, because we purchased a home with a very large hot tub. This made emptying it much easier. We also used it to empty the above ground pool. It is weird that there isn't an on/off switch. It would also be nice if it automatically cut-off once it didn't detect anymore water. Instead you have to monitor it, which I suppose you should do the entire time anyway for safety reasons. The instructions were thorough and easy to follow, but for those of you that don't bother reading instructions, you do have to oil the pump first to lubricate it before use. I don't know if that is typical of all pumps like this, but I am glad we read the instructions. I haven't used other products like this, so I am not able to compare it, but it was helpful to have and it works.

The pump blew two different circuit breakers the first time I tried using it. I would not recommend.

I had a pump that worked well if the whole pump could be submerged. I work at an industrial plant and there are places where access is tight and that would not work. I purchased this pump and attached the end of the hose to a push broom handle and I can get to all of my scenarios! Pumps great!
