Impressive quality utility blanket! The stitching, the binding and the grommets are secure and just perfectly done. The fabrics are tightly woven, lending additional strength. Pick it up, shake it, and fold it and feel the high quality. In this day and age, I find most products to be adequate at best; this blanket is strong and well made, as it should be. The black side is a soft fabric. The brown side, tightly woven, is fairly slippery and water resistant. I've used it to protect elevated herb beds from the night air, having specifically sought a water resistant blanket for this purpose. In actual rain, I then cover it with a tarp. But it functions perfectly subject to the nighttime dew, without melting, so to speak.

First off, I have no idea what this blanket is. I cannot find the SKU anywhere, except in two places—Amazon and Toolsmith. This SKU doesn’t even exist on Cat’s own webstore. Cat is owned by AllTrade, nothing there either. So I am a bit suspicious, but…Overall, a fantastic general purpose utility blanket. It is well made and has some useful features. I like the grommets so I can use this at the beach or in windy conditions as a picnic blanket. They will also help with securing any load beneath.The size is good enough for my needs, though YMMV. It packs down quite small for its size.The stitching and logos are solid, and while I have not yet tested the water resistance of the brown side, I am not hoping for much more than mild resistance. This is NOT a tarp.I plan on keeping this in my trunk for general usage, and given the size, price, materials and quality, I think I made a good choice.Still scratching my head as to where this blanket is from, who made it, and why it isn’t more widely distributed.
