I have a soccer field ~50 yards from my window, two of these hanged over the window muffled the sound by ~50%.The quality is maybe 4/5. The threads are very thin, gradually some are getting torn / pulled.Looks good.The biggest problem is wrong / random size, maybe I was unlucky. There is one size/dimensions shown on Amazon, same size printed on the labels on the actual physical blankets that arrived (in time), but neither physical blanket has the advertised size and the two blankets (I ordered the same size..) differ by 5" in size between them. This posed some challenges and looks issues when trying to hang one on top of another.

I live right next to the train. This blanket dulls the noise, but does not block it out completely. Would recommend using a sealant too.

If the measurment is not critical then great blankets. For me two 80" blannkets were important to cover my two windows. BOTH MY BLANKETS ARE 96"X 76" four inches off for a total of eight inches with two blankets. Heading states 90"x 86" and discribtion states 96"x 80" both are wrong in the blue color.

This Large Sound Dampening Blanket is very nice. It is very heavy and large (8 feet) which helps in multiple ways. During the winter, I will put it up with the grommets to help with a room that needs more wind blocking by the window. Also, it is great with soundproofing wherever you need it. We are using it attached to a screen that we can put by our desk for voice overs and recording etc. It seems to really dampen the sound quite a bit but our room is also small.The quality of the blanket is very high. I would highly recommend it.

This well-made quilted sound blanket solved three problems for me, all involving my very thin apartment door. I have a small home studio and like most musicians, I can get a little loud sometimes. This thing draped over the door will definitely help me not bother the neighbors so much. It will also prevent me from hearing my neighbors go about their daily business. And since the door is so thin and the weather stripping is barely adequate, the blanket will help me keep my place a little warmer in the winter.The blanket looks like one of those shipping blankets you wrap furniture in. The seams are extremely sturdy. To make it easier to hang, it has both metal grommets and large nylon loops, so you can use hooks or a curtain rod. And it has a lot more uses than just soundproofing. The thing comes in two sizes and two colors to meet your needs. I was pretty happy picking this up and once I get some hooks installed, I’m sure I’ll be happier still. Recommended.

I live very close to railroad tracks. I purchased a sheet of 3" upholstery foam cut to fit in the window frame plus this sound blanket to limit the outdoor sounds in my bedroom. It all helped. The blanket was too big and I trimmed it to fit the window. Installed the blanket in the frame with a tension rod. Very effective fix

It's basically just a packing blanket with loops and grommets for hanging, although the size is well suited for a sound dampening application and I like the black color.If you only need one or two of these, it's a quick easy solution and does what it should to dampen sound, especially higher frequencies, but if you need a bunch of these, there are probably cheaper DIY options if you do some research. Good product, just not the most cost effective for every situation at $49.99. If your issue is just covering one or two doors or windows though, this is great!

Purchased this to dampen the washer & dryer noise and block off the laundryroom. Serves it's purpose better than I imagined.
