I bought these for my lawn sprayer that I pull behind the tractor. They work flawlessly and are easy to clean and installation is easy and the price is reasonable. Great Quality so far just remember to hand tighten. They fit my hose going to the tank perfectly. Just remember to look at the arrow on the filter. I have read people have been drilling them out but if you can blow thru it don’t drill it out otherwise you won’t be filtering anything. I tried to show how it works in the pictures but unless you have it in your hand and really look at it. I push lightly turning counter clockwise till I hear it click then I turn it clockwise to tighten. This keeps it from being crossed threaded and leaking. Enjoy it it really works if you just follow what I have experienced.

It seems to filter well in my 1976 truck camper. I have a small 1.2 gallon pump, and this filter doesn't seem to affect the flow. It seems to be well-made, and definitely worth the money to help prevent pump damage.

I added this in the drain hose from my furnace condensate pump, before a new check valve. This prevents this diaphram check valve from hanging open from pump sludge, that has caused the built-in pump check valve to leak, causing short cycling due to backflow. Since the screen is so coarse, I put a wad of polyester craft stuffing inside the screen basket before lubing the bowl gasket and threads with silicone grease and screwing it on firmly. Just have to replace stuffing before heating season, along with air filter.

These have been a godsend for my smaller hydroponic units. They are cheap, easy to change, and put an end to clogged emitters.

I can tell you a lot of stuff about this this item but none of them are dislikes it's all lights because whenever I got this item I am using it for a freshwater system that I just put into a camper that we live in full time and I have not had any problem or any claude's with it even though it's not designed for what I'm using it for.

First review ever, after buying this twice so 4 units total, i was so pissed i had to stop and write this review. The plastic see thru screw on cover broke on all 4 units the first time i used this, so i could not even use them. Very thin plastic, and i thought i over tightened the first one, so finger tight second one and started leaking so a little tighter, stopped leaking and broke in 5 minutes. 3rd and 4 th one same thing. Had these before from sureflo which is more expensive but now i know why. Very dissatisfied with this product, all in garbage now without being able to use them. Beware, btw i had these models in my boat for over 30 years in case you might think I don’t know how to use them, but then again those are marine ones so better otherwise your boat would sink with these…..

I bought this as an add on to my pull behind tank lawn sprayer. I cut it into the output line from the tank pump to the spray arms. It works well and does its job, but its a wire type filter and is NOT going to stop very small particles which is what I needed. It's perfect for my application and easy to clean. No issues.. I recommend this.

As stated by others, this filter is sold as 3/8", but it measures 0.492" on the outside of the barb fitting where the hose slips on. The filter itself is more than suitable to filter the cooling fluid on my lathe and milling machines, but be prepared to use 1/2"hose to fit it in place.
