But I had wasps build a nest 10 feet away- sorta seemed like an "in your face" spiteful thing. Oh well, they are cute!!!!

My sister told me about this product. I didn’t believe it would work. I bought it April 14th. Hung them on the deck where the wraps usually hang around. Two days later I noticed there were less wasps. Then within a week barely saw any. Only once in a while I will see a red paper wasp, flying through but doesn’t stick around long like they used to. By 2 weeks I could stand outside on my deck, with no wasps around. Couldn’t sit on my deck before we got this product. We have 4 of these fake nests around the deck; one up by back door, and the other 3 around the deck fence.Still it’s 45 days later the wasps are pretty much not in site.Prior to these fake nests, I used so many cans of wasps and hornet sprays, but it didn’t keep them away like these fake nests are doing. So far satisfied with this product.

I was really hoping these would work. But either that's a very brave wasp in the photo, crawling all over the decoy that is supposed to scare him away. OR it's proof that I just threw away fifteen bucks. I put these up less than 24 hours ago and this guy is looking at me through the window and laughing. He's been out there inspecting this thing for about an hour. It seems as though he's trying to figure out how to save himself some work and use this contraption for a new nest. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I bought a package of these, Wasp Nest Decoy - 4 Pack - Hanging Fake Wasp Nest. These Fake Wasp Nests Work! At least for our location!BIG, PLUS!!! These Fake Wasp nest also seem to be repelling all the yellowjackets we normally get too!Wasps do attack yellowjackets, so I guess that would be why we are not seeing any!I totally despise ALL Wasps and Yellowjackets! We live in a very rural, forested location in the Northwest. For 16 years we have been tormented by several different types of Wasps, and by hundreds of the pesky, nasty, aggressive Yellowjackets. These pests ruin our summers every year, as we can not enjoy sitting out on our deck or our porch without being bothered, or stung by aggressive wasps and yellowjackets. - We have tried sprays. - We knock down all the wasp nests we can see, when they just get started. - We even dig-up, flood or spray the underground Yellowjacket nests. But, we can never stop the big wasp and yellowjacket invasion every summer!Since we are surrounded by forest land, the wasps and yellowjackets make their nests there and then still come to bother us on our deck and porch!Sort of as a joke, I bought a set of the 4 of these Fake Wasp Nests, just to be funny.I really did not expect these to work, much less to hold up to some of the strong winds and rain we occasionally get during the summers here. So, my husband, after laughing at me for wasting more money on another dumb idea, actually humored me enough to go, hang one of these up on all 4 sides of our house. That was around the 1st week of June, and was around the time that the fat wasp queens come a shopping for nesting locations. We did see a few wasps looking around, but they would not get near the fake paper nests. Finally, we stopped seeing any wasps come by.Interestingly, by now, (the end of July), we normally would be knocking down wasp nests and staying in the house because of the wasps and yellowjackets. But we are not seeing any yellowjackets and there have been no wasp nests even started. So, I guess these Fake Wasp nests really do work! At least in our location.I have also been surprised that these paper nests have been holding up pretty well through some heavy winds and rain we have had.We have these hanging way under our house eves, to kind of keep them protected. They are hanging in some of the very same spots as wasps have build their nests in the past. The sun hit these Fake Nests a bit, so they look like they are fading, but they will be fine for the rest of our wasp and yellowjacket season.I'm super delighted with these, so I'm ordering more for next year.

Well, here you can see the wasps are still coming in and the ere are no other “nests” in this shed. They don’t fool carpenter bees either (still zooming around another we hung up). Maybe it needs more time? This is after about 4 days.Update: they went away! And haven’t seen them since! Didn’t work as well as we had hoped for carpenter bees, but others recommend!
