I like the look, the feel, the sound. I like that it also comes with a case and other accessories.

Been playing for about 5 yrs and have had 2 mandolins prior to this one. This mando sounds and plays great. Tried some twice the cost of this one that played or sounded no better than this one. I love this instrument!!!

I was a little skeptical of ordering a musical instrument online. This mandolin did not disappoint. If you are a beginner it’s well worth your money. If you’re someone like me who is a guitar player that just wanted to get a mandolin to mess around with it’s well worth your money. I did takeoff pick guard because I didn’t like the way it look. I have not plugged it in yet but acoustically it sounds fantastic.

This is a great sounding mandolin. However, it shipped with some defects in the fretboard and I had to send it back to Washburn to get it repaired. They ended up shipping me a new one, which has tone just as good as the first one. The notes are crisp, bright, and pronounced. I think it would be an excellent choice for anyone who wants a great sound for any kind of flatpicking.

Experience on mandolin: 1 year, have only owned acoustic. Played guitar for >10 yearsThis mandolin is excellent quality for the price. I was very impressed with the body and its overall beautiful appearance. The tuning pegs are very good quality. Although the strings it comes with are mediocre at best (as expected) they stay relatively close in tune even when not playing for over a week. I actually have not plugged it in yet as my amp is busted, but the acoustic playing is better than my other dedicated acoustic mandolin. Mine came with a bag, strap, pitch pipe, chord chart which all work as expected. Overall it is very good quality for the money, if needed a good mandolin to play with or without an amp, then you would not have any regrets about this one.

Saw marks in the finish, chipped knobs, should run about ninety nine bucks. More of a child's first instrument. Will spend a little more for a real instrument. I chose this mandolin from the reviews, mistake.

Played some much finer, more nicely manufactured mandolins at a local shop. Those exquisite instruments also started at at least 400% more than this package. No ambition to be Bill Monroe - I wanted a solid, entry level mandolin in the florentine style with a pick up and this was perfect.Doesn't come fully set up - I needed to tweak the intonation by adjusting the bridge and tightened up the tuning pegs so the strings will hold tune. A screw driver, a tuner, patience - that's all that is needed.Features a nice matte finish, nothing flash, and plays reasonably well - the bridge height is adjustable so it is easy to clear up fretting issues.Has a strap, gig bag, some picks, a little chord book, and a pitch pipe tuner. Good price for a good set, totally happy with all of it. I'd never played mandolin before this and using it to learn a fun instrument.

I'm a longtime guitar player and was looking for a nice entry level mandolin and I wanted one with a built-in pickup and I am pretty happy with this one. It has a nice tone and looks well made. The sound over an amp is clean and realistic. It did not come with the floating bridge already set, so I used a tuner to set the intonation and the action ended up being nice and low with no buzz. I didn't have to set the height at all, just moving the bridge to the right spot for the intonation put the strings at the perfect height for me. So be aware that it will need some basic set up, but I have never bought a new stringed instrument that didn't.One thing I found strange is the strings. I like them a lot and it has a tag saying it comes equipped with Extended Life Washburn Slicks. Since I do like them I decided to order a spare set and could not find them for sale on any site, including Washburns own webpage. But I just mention that because I found it curious, there are many fine mandolin strings available, but I like the feel of the ones that came on it and wish I could get more. For the money, I think I got a well made, very playable mandolin. It is definitely a cut above the cheaper models I checked out.
