They’re made of a very warm wool, good quality. Would buy again.

They definitely keep you warm in the cold. Mine smelt like drywall when they arrived not sure if that’s cause mold or they have a powder on them. I just washed them.I bought them cause I wanted to increase my blood pressure throughout my body while I work out and also protect my ankles from chafe while I wore my ankle weight on walks. So far they really helped with keeping my body at a high temp and my blood pressure high. I am sweating a lot more and I can feel the burn in my calf’s and ankles while walking.I think this will pair great with wall climbing and full body pull up crunches on an elevated bar.If you do follow in my steps I recommend you start with low weights and don’t constrict your muscles too much or take too many stimulants. Early and work your way up. I know people who have broke their valve in their popliteal vein from too much blood pressure.Take time to relax your appendages and allow them to reconstruct and slow down by keeping them cold on occasions. You need to weave and crisscross and layer your work outs. So they build you up not break you down.

It’s really high quality. Warm but not bulky. I really like the blanket stitch on the edges because I had a different pair that started fraying really quickly and these are still pristine because of that little detail.

Wrong color. Says Stone Grey but received light olive green. Note! They are not long enough for viking style wraps!

These are dry clean only and have a pretty strong smell, but after you clean them these definitely do the trick!Whether you're walking in the sticks and need to keep your ankles clear, dressing up fancy or practicing martial arts, these are the real deal. 100% wool, so they wont turn rotten when you get them wet, and once you tie them on they don't fall off.Its SOOOO refreshing to see a product like this that isn't just a synthetic knock off. thank you!

The puttees are fine and robust. But the photo on the web does not really mach the true color of the product. The ones I receive are grey/green. And the tying bands are definitely green, not grey.

They are made from the military surpluss type wool, but other than that, I love them and wear them all the time. Once I learned the secret to keeping them fitted nicely on my leg was the "criss-cross" style wrap, I was hooked. If they made them from a higher quality wool like cashmere or something (it would be sooooo worth the extra price that would make them), and the canvas strap was also grey (not coyote brown) I would give them a full 5 stars.I will definitely be having a custom pair made with better quality wool. I love puttees, and wear them all the time. Maybe I can try a pair of "Viking leg wraps".
