Finally a coat that's long enough to cover the Dachshund's back. I've bought several coats and first he outgrew them, and now he's 2, we know he needs a long-length coat. This coat is waterproof or nearly so, a really pretty bright orange, nice fabric. The only negative is that the neck is rather small for my dog. I have to put the velcro on just toward the end. Good strong velcro.

Ordered the size small for my 11 pound mini dachshund and it fits him perfectly! It’s always difficult finding items long enough for him- this is the perfect length. It’s pretty good quality & the inside is actually decently warm. It’s super easy to put on & take off as well.

This warm thermal quilted dachshund coat is fantastic! It stays on even with a dog that shakes a lot in the rain, providing great protection from the cold and wet weather. However, I have to mention that my dachshund is a little too long for it to cover her entire body. Nonetheless, it's still a great coat overall, and she seems comfortable wearing it.

Un manteau suffisamment chaud pour quand il fait moins de 5°, très facile à mettre, et aux dimensions correctes (on mesure le chien comme indiqué, et on prend la taille adéquate). J'ai enfin trouvé un manteau très agréable, qui ne gêne pas la marche de mon toutou, et qui s'enfile facilement et rapidement.Le seul petit bémol concerne l’attache pour la laisse : elle ne peut être fixée qu’au niveau du coup, ce qui impose que le chien porte obligatoirement un collier et non un harnais dont l’attache est située plus bas sur le dos, et pas au niveau du dos). Il a donc fallu qu’on achète un collier un parallèle du manteau alors qu’on utilise habituellement un harnais.

With cold weather starting I bought this for our 9 month old female Chiweenie Puppy. I did measure her with a tape measure. It covers her well for warmth. It’s easy to put on with Velcro closure in front of neck area and around abdomen. It fits nice. Stays in place. Seems warm. Good quality. Inside is very soft. It’s a good thickness for a puppy. It’s functional. Good value for the money. She didn’t struggle with it at all for me. Very pleased with it.

Fit: I have a hard time finding coats for my 10 lb Yorkie-poo. Her largest dimension girth is about 16 in and her back length from neck to base of tail is 14 in. The small fits great. Adjustable Velcro so I'll be able to add a layer under if needed.Easy to put on: the two straps of Velcro makes it easy to put on in seconds. We attach a leash at the front of chest and there's just the right space there. The belly band goes all the way around and the Velcro ends up meeting on the back which is great and prevents accidental hair/fur pulls.Performance: not bulky and she can run without constriction or coming out of sleeves, tripping, etc. Wind and water resistant enough for an hour play session in rainy fall weather. It will be a good three-season coat for New England for an active dog.Construction: It is made well. I've used it for over a month now. The Velcro is strong and sewn well. The reflective piping is around the entire edge and band. The high collar is a great feature for a dog with a long neck and almost works like a small hood keeping the back of the head protected. The plush interior is soft. I've yet to wash it since it's been pretty soil resistant so far. It will be interesting to see how it fares after washing. But for the price, it is a great value.Looks: pictures speak for themselves.

Bengals can be very long, which is why I went for a mini dachshund coat. My buddy has long legs so the coat does not occlude his walking. He accepted this coat readily; it's soft and doesn't restrict movement and the velcro means you can adjust it to fit snug or more loose to add a harness beneath. He was getting too cold on our walks and this coat, while just a tad too short for his length is the closest fit I've found. Most dog coats, once you get the neck and belly to fit are made for a shorter body. I like the red, he's visible if he somehow slips his leash. I can put his secure buckled harness underneath, but, the harness leash hole is a bit of a problem and a reason why this review has 4 stars. The leash hole is more in line with wearing a collar so it comes out near the neck and not the upper shoulder. It works, but it's awkward. I would love to find a coat with a harness hole that fits a cat with a 10" neck, 15" girth and 15" length, but I haven't found one that isn't overly expensive. The price on this coat is very reasonable for the quality; looks durable. Since we have mostly snow this time of year, not rain I can't really test it for waterproof status, but the fabric seems as if it would be water-resistant at the least.
