I was excited to get this. Sadly I was disappointed when I saw it. It looked gold on Amazon, in person it is more like a brownish green color. There are clumps of paint on it. I was going to use it for my paper towels but you could not see the dinosaur head at all once the paper towels were on. Had to return.

Absolutely adorable and everyone who sees it loves it. However, it's a little bit too short for a standard roll of paper towels. The roll fits and you can make it work, but the picture in the listing is deceptive because the head just BARELY sticks out of the top, which means it interferes with the paper towel roll spinning.More novelty than practical.

Cast iron yes, bronze no. The made in China sticker at the bottom of the piece earns its stripes. Was unaware that hot dog mustard yellow was a paint finish, learnt something new today.

Initially, when I stumbled upon this giant, metal beauty of a paper towel holder, I only bought it because of the cute little octopus and all his wiggly little tentacles. I didn't care to read the reviews, nor did I bother to read any of the specifications. That darned octopus was adorable and I had to have it!My partner on the other hand, bless his beautiful little logical heart, was concerned about the stability of it. He was especially worried about whipping the little 8 armed fella across the kitchen when he ripped a sheet off the roll.WELL, allow to to eliminate those fears.THIS KRAKEN AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE!This guy is solid and can certainly handle the strength of a 42 year old punk rocker from the good holidays ripping a sheet of paper towel from its tentacles! In fact, more concerned for my Partners safety. I would hate for him to pull a hammy because a deceptively cute little octopus decided he didn't want to give up the goods.Though, if there's ever an intruder, our adorable little papertowel holder will make a great weapon! I actually feel bad for the person who decides to break into our home. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to be locked up in the clink with scary, hardened criminals, and you got beat up by a papertowel holder? Oh, and then to explain why you have a permanent imprint of an adorable little octopus on your face? Boy howdy, that's a doozy for sure!Only complaint, the towels on the roll tend to fall down since there's nothing holding it all together.So, in summary, it's cute, and greag for the price!But, the peace of mind I get knowing I have a fierce and strong guard octopus that also happens to hold my papertowels, priceless.

What a cute idea for holding either a roll of paper towels or some spare toilet paper rolls. Froggie, as I have named him, arrived today, and he was immediately put to work after tightening a screw on his hip to secure his leg so it did not wobble at all. He is now proudly sitting in our guest bathroom, where he is holding three extra toilet paper rolls for the company that will be arriving tomorrow and will be staying here for a week or so. The rolls are the family sized rolls, and they slid down his leg with no problems. He is perfect for this, as he is sturdy, does not require much in the way of floor space, and is a conversation piece as well. If I had to find any negative, it would only be that I wish he was not gold in color, but more greenish, since I do not have gold fixtures in that bathroom. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again if I decide I want to use this in another bathroom.

En lo personal no me gustan los perros pequeños, pero éste nos gustó muchísimo, porque a demás de ser bonito, es práctico y trabaja cargando el papel higiénico. Éste si es útil.
