For 20 years I thought having rails on the garage steps would be beneficial. Husband was not willing to drill into our new concrete steps. We went without until my mother came to visit and fell on her butt as she was not strong enough to make the steps and had nothing to hang on to. I came across these handrails and liked that they came in different sizes and like the shorter ones so they do not stick out further than the steps. They are very sturdy on the door frame and were very easy to install and we didn't have to make holes in the concrete steps. Mom has not been over since to try them out but they are AWESOME!

This worked very well for my needs. Have steps going down to finished off basement with hand railing but the railing and wall stops before the last 3 steps so we did not want to attach another railing into the wood of the steps side or the concrete basement floor and we had a two x four piece of wood at the end of wall that we attached this to and it is very secure. We made sure it was at the height that when moving hand from railing we could reach and touch this railing

This was installed in the garage to help with the three steps into the house. I used a short left over 2x6 to secure to the wall stud, and then attached the handrail to the wood. This helped ensure it was secure and wasn't just attached to the drywall. The welds seem to provide enough strength to last for a long time.

My package was apparently lost, but eventually showed. The product didn't have instructions included and not online. It was a simply install, but I would have liked to have known what some of the extra hardware was for. I figured out the height of the bar according to the ADA website. The package included drill bits, which helped.

Highly recommend this handrail for small children & elderly.It perfectly covers 2 steps we have leading from the garage into our home.It’s extremely sturdy and high quality for maximum support.Came with all parts and screws, assembled in only a few moments.We installed the handrail in our garage and didn’t need to use the backers, I just drove the screws directly into the dry wall next to the door frame where there were studs.PROTIP: Drill pilot holes first to determine whether there’s a stud behind your dry wall.10/10 we will definitely purchase this item again and highly recommend it.
