I have been using Walex Elemonate (Fresh Lemon Scent) for several years in an RV with Gray water holding tank. I have never had any odor problems when consistently using Elemonate. It is easy to use.But one recent problem that I discovered is that Elemonate doesn't totally dissolve. It seems to have a small amount of silica like material that must be there as part of the reaction needed to dissolve grease and organic sludge. We have a large particle strainer in the sink. So it is unlikely that we are the source of the undissolved particles. After several years of using Elemonate there is enough of the silica like material that has collected that my waste pump shut down. I used a non pump method to clear the tank and then used a rotating spray head (purchased from Amazon) in the chamber to clear out the silica like material. Now the waste water pump works just fine. I dissolved one of the Elemonate tablets in water until all that remained was a fine silica like material. So depending on the setup of your RV Waste system Elemonate may work great or it may lead to extra work down the road.

This is true for home and RV. We have been using these in our RV for 3 summers. This fall, we tried it in our house for the first time. The lemon/clean smell works so well.

We had previously used a liquid grey water treatment but it was frustrating trying to determine if you were using the right dosage since the packaging was opaque. I thought we would give these a try the last time we took our RV out and found them really easy to use. They dissolve in seconds and the scent is far more natural than some of the odd ones I've seen out there. They seemed to work well, although I had hoped they would help with the incorrect sensor reading and they did not.

I have tried a few different products for the gray tanks and this one seems to work quite well. It takes minimal effort to break up the puck and rinse it down the drain but my wife commented that it smells better than anything else that we have used and we have not had any gray tank odors compared to a previous product that we used that was a liquid. I will continue to use this product until there is a need for a better product. But so far that hasn't happened. Also note that I use Pine-Sol and Dawn dish detergent a couple times a year to flush out the gray tanks for additional cleaning. The thanks always come out clean, so I feel the use of this Puck product is helping keep the gray tanks clean in between periodic Maintenance Cleaning events
