Been trying to use up a container for several weeks and not been happy with it. Sensors constantly reading wrong, it doesn’t break down any waste even with it sitting in the black tank for over 5 days. Does not kill odor, and generally seems like a waste of money.Not as good as Aqua Chem and no where near as good as Happy Campers. I’m switching back to Happy Campers once this package is gone.

We purchased this after the orriginal aquakem was discontinued. We were happy with the orriginal product and never had any issues. Worked both on the smell and digestion of waste. Shortly after our first trip using the new aquamax product, we started getting wreched smells out of head. When I drained the tank I found nearly no digestion took place. Everything (waste and tp were solid). It took multiple backflush to clear smell. Just over a day of use later the smell returned. We switched to another product off a shelf and just adding it to the tank, the smell was gone. This is so far the only product we have used that was a failure. You will have more luck just adding extra water.

This hid no odors after the first day. I dumped a 2nd packet on day 3 but still didn't hide odors. I live solo so its not like I use the toilet much in the RV. I'm going back to camco products.

I used this for the first time as I could no longer get Asia kem , which I used for thirty years, and found it does not work as good. It does digest the paper but does not keep the black water smell down. I will try other products. I don’t know why you change a product that worked great.

Works better than aqua chem

After being an RV mechanic years ago, I grew to hate the smell of Aqua Chem. I couldn't tell you which was worse, a black tank with it or without it really. We now own a Pop-Up with a cassette toilet and were in need of a chemical for it. The stuff that was included with the trailer, not Aqua Chem, still smelled really bad. Again, I couldn't tell you which was worse. But I could tell you that it did not break down TP which would plug up the pipe when emptying the tank.I tried this since it said it was Cypress scented. Why not. How bad could it be? Honestly, this stuff is not bad at all. No more terrible odor. And, it breaks down the TP in the tank for easy emptying. I may have used a whole packet in the small tank but it doesn't appear to have caused any problems; the only thing we notice is that it doesn't stink terribly when you open the valve!
