I ordered this filter to use on a large outdoor decorative fountain, and while this filter is a little bit more than is needed for my application, it is still perfect for that purpose. And that’s largely because, size-wise, if you were to use this 200 square foot filter for a swimming pool, it’s actually a little bit less than what I like see. For an average swimming pool, I recommend a minimum of a 300 square foot cartridge filter.Installing this filter is very straightforward, and if you are comfortable with doing a little bit of basic PVC plumbing, you can easily install this filter in no more than 45 minutes.Quality-wise, I think this filter is pretty good. I don’t think it’s quite as good as a Pentair or Sta-Rite filter, but it’s not too far off either. So I am okay with the overall quality of this filter.And lastly, one of the main reasons I decided to order this filter is because it DOES NOT have a proprietary filter cartridge. So, when you need to replace the filter cartridge, you can easily do so. Bought this about a month ago; better than expected, easy to install, built really well and for the price, you can’t beat it. Definitely recommend this product and I rarely endorse anything.

My husband handled the installation smoothly—though he’s handy, he mentioned it was straightforward and didn’t run into any issues. The quality is outstanding; the cartridge itself feels durable and solidly made. Cleaning the cartridge is also a breeze: just a quick rinse and it’s good as new.Performance-wise, it noticeably improved our pool's water clarity almost immediately. If you’re looking for reliable, easy-to-maintain pool filtration, this filter assembly is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
