Update: It’s been over a month and no leaks. Still working great. There are a few great YouTube videos out there that gives great instructions.Fits perfectly. The hardest part was removing the old drain tube from the drain pan (could not get my hands in there to release the clip). Be careful you don't break the pan. I had to use a pair of side cutters to cut and break off the old drain tube. To put on new, best to soak in hot water for a few minutes to let it get soft. It then goes on easy.

Solid construction, directions had very grainy photos. I found a YouTube video that explained the installation.

Fixed leaking freezer. Didn’t fit well though (too tight) but good enough. Photos on installation instructions paper were very poor. Overall happy leak stopped!

It works flawlessly and fits perfectly with a Maytag MFI2569VEB Refrigerator. No modification is required. The photos in the instructions are worthless and not legible. YouTube offers some good how-to videos on this repair.

My KitchenAid refrigerator, with a bottom freezer, was manufactured by Whirlpool (as is Kenmore and several other brands). There is a design flaw that prevents water generated during defrosting from reaching the pan at the bottom, back where it can evaporate. A rubber nipple that is supposed to open and convey water down a plastic trough can easily seal shut and the only place the water can go is onto the freezer, where it coats the bottom and eventually leaks out onto the floor. This inexpensive assembly replaces the nipple and trough assembly with solid plastic tubing, allowing free-flow of the water to the evaporation pan. There are instructions included, but youTube videos are better. I found the installation easy, but then I fix all my major appliances. Make sure you fully defrost the freezer first - only ice that hasn't yet dripped into the freezer will go down this new drain assembly.

Our fridge was leaking water every other day. We watched a video of this part being replaced to fix this issue. It has been 3 months that we replaced it and it hasn’t leaked since then. I know this is not the original one but it does the job and we are very happy with it. It saved us money twice, it’s a cheaper part and we didn’t have to pay for the replacement.
